This week has been weird as hell.

But I guess there's been worse.

Anyone up for a round of movie night on Sunday?

[Morgan]

Hey, kiddo. I'm not allowed to hang around campus with you anymore. It leads to me exploring.

Right. My timeline seems to have started veering off around 2000 when it comes to media. Different cultural pressures, I guess.

Makes sense. No story is really new at this point, and we tend to bring back and retell the ones that are relevant to us at the time.

Vision was into that sort of thing, how people communicate and tell stories. We used to talk about it sometimes. There were a lot of stories that boiled down to being about communities dealing with invasion from outsiders.

It's pretty fascinating. Ah, so you were going for reflective stories, not escapist. Though if everything ended well in the stories, I guess they could be both.

It was a mix, I think. The period dramas and things set in the past tended to have happy endings, stuff set in the future didn't so much.

It usually is in my experience. It's heartbreaking that people felt like there was no future for them, though. I went through some of the media during the blip... most of that was pretty bleak, but then the pendulum's started swinging the other way as it does.
