No, it'd just temporarily transfer them to someone else, they're still Wanda's powers and she'd just need to get them back from Doom.

Wanda took away the mutant's powers, but she still managed to give Rictor back his. I don't think they're ever fully gone, just dormant.

Ixnay on the uture-fay.

Cassie's not from there in time yet. She doesn't know about any of what happened after Magneto and my team found Wanda and helped her get her powers back because she died.

Can you give me a chance to break that to her gently, please?

She's my sort-of-mom, sometimes I feel obligated to. I know a lot of what happened before M-Day was because she'd lost me and Tommy. Not our fault, I know but guilt's weird.

I've had time to come to terms with it. Besides, my best friend occasionally gets possessed by a cosmic entity with the power to destroy planets. I'm aware these things are... hard to handle, sometimes. Most of us have made mistakes or been manipulated at some point.

Jean, right? Phoenix? I've never seen the Phoenix up close. I've seen the X-Men, there were some I met when we were fighting against the Registration Act, but I never got to go to Xaviers which I was always really disappointed about.

Now it's looking like I'm not a mutant anyway so I wouldn't have met the entrance critera but still, woulda been cool.

Yes, Jean. Someone else who died and came back to life. I was in Wakanda during the registration fight, but we did what we could on the diplomatic front.

In some ways the mutant requirement seems a little artificial, sometimes. Charles built the place to be a haven against discrimination, and bigots rarely care about trivial distinctions like someone's exact genetic makeup. I know the Avengers had their Academy for a while, but it seems like there isn't much for non-mutant teenagers coming to grips with their powers. I'm not sure if the school should be that place, but there ought to be something.

Yeah, didn't qualify for their Academy either. Probably something to do with Captain America constantly threatening to call our parents for using our powers for good.

Billy Kaplan, by the way. I'm assuming you're one of the X-Men, but I'm not up to date with friendships and things. I've been... travelling.

Your powers are literally the coolest. I mean, Iceman is the actual coolest in a literal sense, of course, but atmokinesis is such an intense power and so cool.
