Okay here me out. I've always thought that the Eiffel Tower could be a way of controlling the people of France. So what if the people who have done that are using the Statue of Liberty as the same sort of thing and that is why we are seeing the leprechauns.

Well technically the US Government doesn't exist anymore. Everything falls under the United Federation of Planets. But I know we're not alone in the universe so who knows.

Should I say I know? That's interesting and I always did think we weren't alone then well Thor happened so I'm not surprised it goes that way.
