[OOC: posted early Friday morning]

Time to address the elephant in the room. I broke my back. Actually, a lot is or was broken and fractured and bruised and [...] punctured and all that fun stuff. But there's a bullet still stuck in my back, but there's also a nice wheelchair waiting for me.

I'll heal. Tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow or whenever. But I really wish I'd cleaned up my bedroom before all of this happened.

The last time something like this happened, my dad ditched his post-prison retirement to rush to Central City to give me a pep talk, and it was exactly what I needed in that moment. He always had a way of saying exactly what I needed to hear, and there's so much that I hope I'll never forget.

And when I just starting out as The Flash, when he was still in prison you have no idea how hard it was for me not to, he told me that it was a dangerous world out there, and to be careful. He reiterated that I was a hero, and that I was saving a lot of lives. And that my parents were proud of me.

Now change all that you and are. And if your parents aren't all that, change it to me, Barry or whoever.
