I don't begin to understand the traditions surrounding Christmas, but the idea of being kind to other people at this time of year and gift-giving is lovely. I can also appreciate the decorations and lights, which give me a warm feeling inside.

Aren't they? They bring a sense of cheer to the place.

It's like a fairytale, isn't it?

I can only think that when we became deviant it allowed us access to instincts and emotions that we weren't initially programmed for. We have the ability to share memories with one another, so perhaps we sense the emotions that others feel? Either way, I can't deny that I love discovering new ways this world moves me.

Connor and I are going to shop and put decorations up in the apartment. You can help, if you like? What colour lights would you like? I'll pick some up when we head out.

It is scary, but it's also wonderful! Sometimes I don't know what it is that is making me emotional, but when I work it out - and sometimes it takes time - it makes me more understanding of the world. And of myself.

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it. Are the kids being good to you too? It has to be a lot to get used to.

I did and that had to hurt. I know this doesn't help that but I've learned to appreciate the people that are here now, rather than to miss the ones that aren't. It's easier said than done, I know, but the more people you meet the more you'll feel at home here.

Drawing isn't weird. I teach an art class and lots of the kids enjoy drawing. The mean girl is probably jealous she can't do as well as you.

I like you. There will be many, many others who do too, but you have to let them.

This is a strange question, but can I tell my girlfriend about you? About your true nature? She wouldn't tell a soul and I think she might be able to help you fit in.
