That first gift was welcome, Secret Santa. This one... not so much.

Does anyone have a safe or locker of some sort that can hide a magical object? I received something today- Manannan's Gift or Huon's Cup or Orfino's Bane, they're all names for the same fae artifact- and I really want it away from me and in a safe place. It is can be dangerous in the wrong hands.

I'm going hunting in the park tonight, if anyone would care to join me. I found rabbits the other day and a few particularly fat squirrels.

While in normal cases my brand of magic doesn't mix well with muggle technology, I don't seem to have that trouble here. If perhaps one of the advance techs like Cisco or Tony could make something to keep the items in with heavy security I can also add protective charms along with it.

Maybe we can test how your brand of magic mixes with fae magic from my world? Just so we can make sure there aren't any issues with them interacting. I have another artifact, a walking stick, that we can use for that. The fewer people handling that cup the better. I don't think it'll mind being a guinea pig.

I could probably make a small sort of... dimensional pocket? Like a cupboard, but made out of reality.

Can anyone other than you get into it? Ultimately, I'd like a variety of safeguards between me all of us and this item.

I can make it so they can't.

This item can make people tell the truth. It can heal terrible wounds- I've experienced that part personally. But it can also enslave people and bend others to a person's will. I've experienced that aspect of it too. That's what makes it dangerous. The fewer people who have access to it, the better.

That's not a good thing. I'm not tempted by power. I already have more than I need or use and if I'd wanted more I could have become a god. I had to fight not to. So I would be happy to lock it away and never touch it.

Thank you. I think it's important to be out of reach of most people, but still be accessible in case of an emergency. One of the aspects of it is that it is always full. And the drink it produces I can't believe I'm about to say this is very tasty. I swear, I'm going to puke. As long as it's given with the intent to help, it will heal just about anything- When I experienced it, my arm looked more like a pretzel than an arm and it felt, in the words of my friend Samuel, who is a doctor, like "a tube of toothpaste filled with rocks". I never would have regained use of my arm without it. So it can be useful. I just don't trust anyone to not be like Tim.

That would be helpful for humans. I heal from anything anyway but that's not my magic so I can't use it on other people. It would have to be a separate spell.

For the sake of knowledge, is it something that gives off some kind of reading or aura that alerts those who can sense it that it's magical, or is it something that, at a glance, appears like an ordinary cup with no curious or intriguing or tempting properties?

A fae, maybe even a half-fae, would likely be able to sense its magic. I'm pretty good with that wort of thing, but I had no idea until it was too late and someone had me in their thrall. Otherwise it's just a cup. An old, interesting looking pottery cup. There's nothing outwardly remarkable about it.
