Would someone like to explain to me what in the heck is going on here? Kidnaps usually include ransom notes, not explanations from god-like entities!

Lydia? Well it's good to know someone here is keeping my son out of trouble in my absence. How are ya, kid?

Hi, Noah. I'm doing my best—at the trouble thing and in general.

Keeping Stiles out of trouble is a full-time job, I know, but I trust you know this already.

I'm glad you're here. Without getting teary and sentimental, I was going to miss you guys.

He does a decent job keeping us out of trouble, too. It's a good give and take.

It's your lucky day, then, because we can't leave the island.

Give and take is good. I'm glad you're keeping one another safe.

So, this is it? This island is the limit of all activity? That seems... mean.

We're mostly really good at that by now.

It's bigger than Beacon Hills. Sometimes we go other places. It was Paris when I got here.

Hey, you know never to take that for granted. Not after everything that's happened.

And you're going to explain how NYC can turn into Paris now, right? Cause that doesn't make a jot of sense to this guy!

Yea. We definitely do.

I guess the closest answer is because this isn't New York. But we tend to go to sleep and then wake up in a different place. The apartment building is usually the only constant, but sometimes it changes a little, too. It's probably best to stop trying to make things make sense right now. Even though your son is working really hard on that very thing.

Good to know.

Now my brain hurts. The building... moves? Lydia, I love you like a daughter, but you know how crazy that sounds, right? Even if the same thing pretty much just happened to me back at home...

It's only a little bit crazier than all of the things we told you back home. You might not really get it until the next event happens and you experience it.

We do have our own share of crazy back at home but this is a whole new level. Do you know when it will happen? Is there a warning?

No signs or warnings, but Stiles has been working on that, too. Except that every time it seems like a pattern is emerging, the pace changes.

I really shouldn't be surprised that Stiles is on that one, should I? Is it sending him crazy yet?

Despite my best efforts, yes.

Hopefully not for a very long time. I have plans for him.

I hope those plans involve smores and cushion-forts... otherwise I don't know if I want to hear about them!

Not any kinds of plans you don't want to hear about. Mostly ones that involve teasing him about his grey hairs.

My kid has grey hair now? Jeez... that makes me feel even older than my knees.

Not yet, that's why he has to wait a while to let his brain kill him.

Damn. Is he even slightly receding yet? Give me something to tease the kid about, he's not had me around in six months and he'll have missed it!

Lydia, are you trying to butter me up in order to protect my son? Excellent job! I hope Stiles appreciates the effort.

My job is to make it look effortless. Unfortunately, he usually sees through it.

Good luck with that part! If there's one thing I can be grateful for it's that I didn't raise an idiot. If he sees through it at least he appreciates you.
