I wonder what it means when the Entity brings so many people at once from the same universe. We've seen pairs before, but this is starting to get incredibly noticeable.

(On which note - hi, I'm Maya. Don't be offended if you try to talk to me and I ignore you, I'm Deaf, just get my attention first. I also do yoga in the exercise room at 7am if anyone wants to join me.)

Maybe it's like a net... and it just sort of accidentally scoops a lot of people from the same place.

Or maybe it locks on a frequency and once it has success pulling someone from that frequency then it... gets easier?

Or maybe the entity is a really nice dude who just wants to keep people together.

or maybe it's a collector and is just looking for matching sets.

We actually already have far more redheads than the general population. Then again, the ethnic breakdown in general is very skewed.

I was tracking comings and goings for a while looking for patterns, but there didn't seem to be anything solid. The selection definitely isn't random, though, there's actually very few people who don't know anyone else here.

The universe gets referred to as 616 by the science types, it's one of those ones that has Captain America and Iron Man and the like. Geographically, New York.

Maybe that just means the entity is getting better.

Like when a kid is learning to shoot a basket ball. At first he's just like in the right direction, but the more he throws it, the better he is at getting the goal.

So what if the first couple of months were him just... shooting wildly. But now he's able to sort of hone in on the collection he's looking for.

Just a theory anyway.

It could easily be experimenting on the best combinations of people. I'm not sure we'll ever really find out its actual motivations.

I can read lips - guessing what people are saying by the shape their mouth makes while speaking. I know sign language as well but not many other people do.

It's a language where you use your hands instead of your voice to make words. Like how people wave to say hello, except there are thousands of different signs to mean different things as well as quick ones to spell things out. There's actually a lot of different sign languages from different parts of the world, the ones I know best are American Sign Language, which is probably the most common, International Sign, and Plains Indian Sign Language, which has very few native speakers left and most of them are getting pretty old.
