There's something to be said for perspective. Going back to a time where I didn't feel the weight of responsibility so much, it was ... enlightening. I grew into this, it wasn't dumped on me like I sometimes end up thinking. I've gone through the motions and pushed to this.

From Ms Marvel to Warbird to Binary to Captain Marvel. It's... it's a journey I can't help but be proud of. I guess going back to that for a while, remembering what it was to push further and harder and strive for this, because I knew I could do it, helps.

That being said, sorry if the light was bothering anyone, and to whomever knows the purple dragon? It was nice to have a companion up there who didn't mind the heat.

That accounts for a fairly big chunk of my life, with a few exceptions.

I've been lucky that way. Most of my inability to communicate has been self imposed.

Some of that, too. It's a nice morality tale about the virtues of hard work, anyway.

I've been so down on myself and this lifestyle lately, I went to space for crying out loud, like I thought that would fix anything. It was good to be reminded that I chose this. For better or worse.

Admittedly I've never tried it but my impression has been that space never fixes anything.

It really doesn't. Because you know what? Space has a lot of problems too.

I broke up with my boyfriend to go to space with my cat. I'm worse than Jess.

I've broken up with boyfriends for worse reasons.

Sure. But James deserved better. I'm clearly an idiot.

Now that I wouldn't know much about. Guys who deserve better usually don't date me to start with. They can probably smell the disaster coming.

Yeah, my dating history isn't exactly smooth, between stupid flings and ill advised crushes, I should've known better than to throw away a diamond like that.
