School starts tomorrow. Not freaking out or anything, though. Honest.

However, I was at my usual thrift shop of choice looking for school clothes and maybe a new bag when I saw the best thing ever. I found her, guys. I found Annabelle. She's even wearing the right dress. I did the only thing I could do, I bought her. She needs to be cleaned up and her clothes need some repairs, but that'll give me something to do tonight instead of absolutely not freaking out about school.

Annabelle is one of Ed and Lorraine Warren's cases. Their doll is considered the most "evil" in their paranormal collection. Allegedly it's possessed by a demon and even has a body count.

They made some shitty movies about it and tried to make the doll creepier than Raggedy Ann is but honestly it just made it comical. All dolls are creepy, you don't have to try. But those movies went way downhill after the second Conjuring. Like, The Nun was just boring and La Llorona was just sad nonsense. It got some of the folklore right, but you can do better than that.

If it is possessed, how do they manage to keep it from continuing to rack up the body count?

No, most dolls don't need the help in being creepy. I'm indifferent toward them overall, but there are some truly disturbing ones out there. What's the folklore for those?

Of course! Gonna slay it.

Allegedly the real Annabelle is possessed and currently housed in the Warren's Museum of the Occult in Monroe, Connecticut. But y'know. I couldn't not get her. Even if she is just the same model.

Generally, yes. I'm pretty sure this one isn't haunted though.

Now there's one I have back home that I found in an attic that is absolutely 100% haunted. No doubt about it.

I'm on the fence. I could deal with a little bit haunted. But a lot haunted? That's just annoying. Which is absolutely not to say I've never scrolled through the haunted doll section of eBay and Etsy.
