Thrift store shopping is still pretty rad, but I do not know why there's underwear in here. Who buys a bra at a thrift shop?

Liz Ortecho

My friend Audrey is busking on Saturday at the boardwalk, I'm gonna go by and cheer her on. Do you want to go out and see some stuff after that? There's got to be some fun to be had around here, right?

Poor people and hippies.

They're better just going without, honestly. Someone else's bra is not going to do anything better than gravity would.

I’d be inclined to agree but the nipple shielding effect is still a small mercy.

That's what tape is for. Or pasties if you really wanna jazz it up.

This is Billy. He's basically adopted me. He's a good dude. I think you guys would get along. He's got great taste in shoes and skincare products and suits. Please don't hit on him. And he has a husband, which is neat.

Oh, a skincare and shoe aficionado? I could get behind that. Is telling me he's married to a man supposed to deter me from asking if I can call him Daddy?

100% yes it is I'm the only one who gets to call him that. :P

Oh, yah nasty.

But seriously, I'm still holding out for my boo. Even if there are some hella hot older men I'd happily ride around here.

I have approximately zero attraction to him. He's just been really good about looking out for me since we all got here. It's nice.

His husband, though? Holy hell those arms.

Sounds it. But I understand there's another muffin you're getting to know. I'm not going to go homewrecking again.

But a girl can look, right? You don't have issues with just objectifying your pseudo-dad and his hubby?

Yeah. The guy I'm busking with? That's him.

Oh, absolutely! The female gaze needs to be supported more often. So objectify all you want!

Oh, then I am absolutely there from start until finish.

Doesn't it. I wonder when laundry day is. I may have to dabble in a little stalking. You won't judge me I hope.

Good! I promise we only have like one or two sappy love songs.

You don't have to wait for laundry day. Frank's the maintenance guy for the building. Just break something, jam a window, lose a ring you don't care much about down the sink, put a dead battery in your smoke alarm. Then call for help and profit.

You can sap it up, I'll only tease a little.

Oh, you're such an evil genius, I love it! I have plenty of rings I don't mind dropping down the sink. You know you could totally take over the world, right?

You're gonna do that anyway cause they're both Coldplay songs.

That's why God made me tiny and gave me all this anxiety - so I don't do exactly that. Otherwise? The world would be in big trouble.

Oh, honey, could you be asking for this more???

Please, you may be smol, but you is mighty. Maybe the new hunny can help in that department?

More mockery? Probably not, no. Joni Mitchell? Better or worse?

He's also smol. Like half an inch taller than me. I feel bad every time I wear heels but he doesn't seem to mind so w/e.

Than Coldplay? Better.

Any man/person who cannot take you being taller than them isn't worth it. Besides, I'm betting that you two smol but awesome beans could trade heels?

Noted. I'll consider editing the Coldplay.

The image I just got is priceless. Sadly, though, I am but a 5½ in heels and he's a whole 7½. Which, when you factor in women's to men's conversion is 4 sizes difference. No sharing shoes for us. :(

Okay, fair. Pretty sure there was a girl at school whose parents made their own soap. Smelled like hemp. But she didn't know what a bra was. Never mind a thrift shop one.

There have to be some deep-seated psychological issues at play to refuse to buy your daughter a bra. It’s practically begging for her to be ostracized.

I’m Billy Russo, by the way.

And have serious back issues. Posture is important and no one likes boob sweat.

I'm Brooke Maddox. I hear we have a friend in common.

A true personal tragedy. I can only assume a social issue, as well, since people who smell like hemp have rarely been introduced to deodorant.

Brooke Maddox...you’re Audrey’s best girlfriend, right?

Yeah, something about all natural, garden baby stuff. Saving the planet, but doing it while smelling like a compost heap.

Her bestest best girlfriend. xD
