The blood I drink comes from a butcher shop I have a deal with in the city. There are other vampires here that may use something different, but it's the same as what I was used to at home. I don't always [...] react well when drinking human blood, so I try to avoid it but that's not the case for everyone. The more often you're able to eat, the easier it can be to control the cravings.

We aren't the same, but it's not as black and white as a lot of people like to think either. He's not me, but there will always be a part of him in me. I have a soul, but I'm also still a vampire, a demon. Recognizing that can be hard, but it can also help you embrace your humanity rather than running from the demon.

They've never given me any reason to think that they're running low, so getting the additional supply shouldn't be a problem. It takes some getting used to after being on a human diet, but it doesn't take too long to get used to it.

I'm not typically one for ... spiritualism, the soul versus non-soul side of this whole thing. Logic, however, dictates that when... I changed, my id took full control. Although it's still me, it's not all of me. And now, with the soul, as you say, my ego and superego can reign in the id.

Whatever it takes to keep Arthur safe, I'll get used to it. My old roommate used to enjoy experiments, it can't be much worse than that. I don't suppose there's a way to get used to the other parts, the hearing and smell and the way I've ripped two cabinet doors off in the kitchen just opening them?

I know less about that side of things, but it makes sense when you put it that way. With the vampire, for some of us, there are still some facets of the human personality that shine through. Others, they try to distance themselves away from who they were as much as possible. Most are a mix, but a twisted mix.

You'll keep him safe. Test out your new abilities. That's the easiest way to start getting used to them and don't try to suppress them - the hearing and the smell. Sparring or meditation helps me, depending on the situation.

And I'm sure she's already thought of it herself, but I'm going to talk to Bonnie soon about getting your a ring so you'll be able to go out into the sun.
