We aren't the same, but it's not as black and white as a lot of people like to think either. He's not me, but there will always be a part of him in me. I have a soul, but I'm also still a vampire, a demon. Recognizing that can be hard, but it can also help you embrace your humanity rather than running from the demon.
They've never given me any reason to think that they're running low, so getting the additional supply shouldn't be a problem. It takes some getting used to after being on a human diet, but it doesn't take too long to get used to it.
