Things I loved:
-Albus Severus/Scorpius on the side
-That Ginny does not = shrew/bitch (although she is a Harpy who is (amusingly) not above using her son to purloin Quidditch secrets.)
-"Wouldn't that make the baby what the Muggles call a clown?"
-The goats for bezoars project. And Kreacher's wellies. (hee)
-Awkward sex and Severus's massages...and...
I just honestly enjoyed this, full stop. :)

I expected it to be a little awkward but I really enjoyed that middle-aged part. Snape is 70 (well, 68 :D) and you describe his body as a 70 but he is still sexy as hell. *droolingmorethanever* His reaction after the first sex is priceless :D
I loved the humour, Severus, the doc, Severus, the Al/Sc side pairing, Severus...
But poor Kreacher with the goats!

Can I tell you how much I love your writing? *sigh*

Fabulous that they are older, and still dead sexy. Al was charming (love him and Scorpius together ;) ), Kreacher and the goats. And Snape-soooo very IC. Afraid so he lashes out. Hostile because he cares. The premise itself is clever, and dear sweet little Regulus-welcome to the world. Brava, dear, brava!

Eeee, this is so fabulous! Funny and hot and real ... I love all the jokes and Severus's snarkiness and the way you left his survival a mystery, and the way you've shown Harry falling in love with him is absolutely perfect! Brilliant story!

Right about where Harry launched into his rant to Snape about 'Harry Potter' vs. Harry Potter, I fell in love with this story. I had to pause, reread a bit of the argument for pleasure's sake, and then continue. There was such wonderful development between Harry and Snape, and they both had their own personal developments, too. Snape especially - coming to realize he was a father, and then his attraction to Harry. Beautifully done.

Other things I liked:
-The small details, like Al and his orange peelings into orioles.
-The scene in the tower where Harry watched Snape. So Harry, to not realize his own feelings for so long.
-Snape confiscating crisps
-"Harry." Snape's voice was strangely gentle. "It won't work." I loved that line so much, and the conversation around it. Perfect!
-"I doubt that any other man in history has been propositioned by a fifty-year-old pregnant wizarding hero."
-Snape freaking out and thinking Harry is trying to bribe Snape. All your conversations between Snape and Harry were excellent, actually, but in particular I like that scene.
-Love the side AS/S. Really well-handled. Also loved human!Ginny who still cares for Harry, and the bit of James and Lily we heard about.
-Harry threw up his hands. "You're right! You saw right through me! Oh well, I guess I'm just a stupid Gryffindor. How could I ever hope to pull the wool over the eyes of an intelligent Slytherin like you?" There were a lot of very emotional lines, but they were nicely counterbalanced by lines that made me laugh out loud.

What a charming story. Thank you, and well done!

I love this too. The way it was very much a late second chance for them both. Severus was wonderfully snarky and I had tears in my eyes at one point as their story unfolded.

I loved all the little touches too. Harry's friends, the very obvious affection that his children had for him. Harry's unconditional support for Al and Kreacher I loved the tale of Kreacher and the goats that was running in the background!

Fabulous story!

Lucie

Oh! Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh!

I took the dogs out for 3 hours in the rain, came back, made myself a mug of hot chocolate, switched on the pc and found THIS on my friends page!

I love it! Funny and romantic and hot - I love Kreacher in wellies, frustrated by goats, and Harry's baby born in the goat shed at Christmas, and the long-suffering healer, and the awkward, hot, funny first-time sex, and Al and Scorpius and their tentative romance, and Snape, prickly and irritable and defensive and vulnerable and sexy - thank you! This was utterly adorable, (I had to send Mr gingertart out to buy takeaway because I was too busy reading it to cook dinner. Heh!) And mpreg, my sekrit kink! Mmmm! *HUGS*

Thank you thank you thank you!

What a wonderful story! I liked the way you handled Ginny--that's one of the most real characterizations I've ever seen her have. She spent almost her whole life loving Harry Potter, and as she approached middle age, she realized that it wasn't enough to sustain her any more.

The kids were great. The little bits of James and Lily we got were informative, and the side Albus Severus/Scorpius action was a wonderful complement to the main story of Harry, Severus, and Regulus Remus (nice name in keeping with JKR's penchant of having Harry name all his children after dead people).

I have to say that Kreacher was probably my favorite character in this story. He's just so harassed and hilarious--perfect.

I loved the ending, with Severus admitting he was wrong and Harry apologizing for any misunderstanding. Their awkward first time sex was great and keeping in the realistic theme of the whole story.

Magnificent work!

Very interesting take on mpreg. I've got the feeling that Kreacher would have preferred to be left at Grimmald instead of tending goats. Love to see a follow-up where Harry & Sev are trying to raise Reg (maybe even the scene when Reg gets teh Hogwarts letter?)

This was so much fun to read, especially since the summary had made me doubtful. Luckily, the title and the whole proverb along with the warning for "awkward sex between middle-aged wizards" allured me to proceed, otherwise I would have missed a wonderful story.:)

It was a brilliant idea to make Harry pregnant so soon and unexpectedly, so that he and Snape couldn't dwell too long on their old issues, though forced to live together.

I loved reading about the pregnancy and how Regulus helped his fathers to understand fatherhood, each other and love. The father-son discussion between Harry and Al and the scene leading to belly-touching by Snape were particularly beautiful and very moving in a non-sugary way.

The combination of humour and seriousness worked really well throughout this story and the sex was amazing. I was anticipating funny fumbling but I never expected to get hot and sweet, too. "Plenty of time" was perfect ending.

Thank you for writing this!

Completely wonderful! Loved the angst just as much as the fluffiness. And I love the fact that they were both able to start over after so many years - gives hope to us all, eh?
The Albus/Scorpius was adorable (and plain as day - boys are so thick!), as was the awkward sex between Harry and Severus. Anyway, lovely story!

This was such a fabulous read for a snowy Saturday afternoon. The awkward sex, and Healer Lymejam, and Severus' need to have plenty of bezoars, and Kreacher (oh how I love Kreacher), all made this so fun and entertaining. I'm especially amazed at how you wove this story around canon (an the immaculate conception idea). You wrote a truly wonderful story.

Hey, that was an enjoyable read! I have a bit of a soft spot for MPreg. I like the little touches of humour, and especially like their first time at the end, and Harry's statement that he wouldn't sleep with a seventy year old until he was at least fifty. :D

It was light and easy and I enjoyed it, although I didn't always believe that they are their stated age here, especially in what concerns sex. But be that as it may, it was a pleasant reading. Thank you!

"That is quite possibly the most surreal comment I have ever heard," Snape said. "I doubt that any other man in history has been propositioned by a fifty-year-old pregnant wizarding hero."

Made me laugh :)

"Your house-elf is quite persuasive. And smelly, I might add. Next time, at least make him take off his boots before he comes to get me." -- which boots? House-elves don't wear clothes, I thought.

*high five*, author.

I don't know what made me read this, as I usually don't go for mpreg, but I'm grateful for whatever it was. What I feel for this fic? It's very close to love. This was very well written.

I laughed a lot throughout this story, but I must've laughed aloud for ten minutes over: "Wouldn't that make the baby what the Muggles call a clown?" I cried a bit when Snape was acting like a super-duper-uber berk. I enjoyed Harry and Snape's interactions and how they finally came to an understanding... as well as Kreacher, his wellies, his plight to perform all his chores, the brief glimpses of what the Potter offspring are like, Healer Lymejam, (crazily enough) Ginny, and Harry and Ginny's post-divorce relationship.

Great job! Thank you for writing. :-)

I almost wanted to be angry with Ginny and Harry for separating, just because she was so very single-minded, and he so very taken with it that he never realized something was not right; but then I realized how very real that was and had to read what you'd done about Harry & Severus.

I'm so very impressed that a story written entirely from Harry's perspective manages to catch so much of Severus' inner workings; his constant paranoia about manipulation (justified, of course), his pessimism towards anything that makes him happy.

Which is not to say that Harry's perspective is not just as revealing of himself; Harry is very correct in his assessment of himself as being caught in the moment, and lacking introspection.

We see that even in your description of Al and Scorpius through Harry's view; in the orange peeling scene, we see that Harry is just barely perceiving their romance, although he's been seeing the evidence long since (ie. he notes their reactions to each other just before, and in the aftermath of, the curse unleashing, among other instances).

You know, though, I had expected camels to be the quadrupeds of malice in this story, given the title. Well, can't have everything ... the ending is perfect, closing the circle of the story and illustrating how well suited Harry and Severus are, not just because they have a child together.

Hee! I read this last night, but had been linked directly to the story and therefore couldn't click the back button to comment.

I always like flustering Snape, especially by means of making him fall in love when he didn't mean to or doesn't think he knows how, and this did all that nicely, plus also, I like that Ginny was not a hag. Also, yay MPreg. :D
