Happy Daft Day, [info]gingertart50!
Recipient: [info]gingertart50
Title: Love, Pregnancy and Camel Riding
Author: [info]klynie1
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: About 27,600
Warnings: DH spoilers, including the epilogue; Mpreg; awkward sex between two middle-aged wizards
Prompt/Summary: 48-year-old Harry Potter is the victim of an accidental immaculate conception.
Disclaimer: Harry Potter, Severus Snape and all associated characters from the Harry Potter universe are the property of J.K. Rowling and those to whom she has licensed her creations, including without limitation Bloomsbury Books, Scholastic Books, Raincoat Books, and Warner Bros., Inc. No copyright infringement is intended. The author is making no profit from this story.
Author's Note: [info]gingertart50, I couldn't believe how lucky I was to have been given your story request! I hope that I give you even a tiny fraction of the fun reading it that I had in writing it. Much love and many thanks to my betas – E, S and B – all brilliant writers to whom I owe my first, second and third child, respectively (which is a great burden from my mind, since I don't really want kids).
All remaining mistakes are mine. And special love and thanks to the amazing mods who have worked so hard on this fest: [info]f13tch3r, [info]svartalfur and [info]yanks02. You've made this so much fun!

Love, Pregnancy and Camel Riding

If you want to link this fic, please link this post, not the off-site URL! Thank you!

[ETA:] There are coding errors only visible to IE users. (The story is nevertheless readable.) The mods promise to take care of it asap (which might take some time, due to unfortunate circumstances) and apologise.

[ETA2:] Coding errors have been resolved. Thank you for bearing with us.

*huge WHOOSH of relief* I'm so glad you liked it! *hugs* And I hope that Mr Gingertart enjoyed his takeaway. *g*

I know that you don't care for feminized mpreg, so I tried to keep Harry as butch as I could without having him actually scratching his balls every other paragraph. Not that he could probably reach them very well by the end, of course. Oh, and I have an outtake scene that Siren very rightly persuaded me to omit because it didn't advance the plot, if you'd ever like it. Just let me know, and I'll send it to you.

(When the reveals went up for [info]snarry_holidays, I sat on my living room floor laughing until my stomach hurt. I'd just turned in this story, and to find out that you'd written "Echoes" for me was just too funny!)

Hee! Go on, send me the outtake! Pretty please? *drools*

Yes, I did a double-take when I saw my gift fic was up and you'd written it! I'm delighted that you did, you are definitely on a roll! (Did I tell you how much I enjoyed 'Whispers'? Well I did, anyway.)

It's sent!

Talk about a roll, my dear - you've hit your stride so well. Brilliant writing! I still haven't read "Being Snape", but it's on my list. I can't wait.

I hope you enjoy it. It is a lot darker than 'Echoes'. I wrote 'Being Snape' first and I think that the humour and romance in 'Echoes' was a reaction to teh angst!
