BEST. WARNINGS. EVER.

And what an amazing fic! I tried to stop reading about a 1/3 of the way through and it invaded my mind and I had to go back. Some sort of written Imperius, I suspect. :)

Delightful from start to finish, I loved the clever plot, the amusing details, the pictures!, the snark, and the most diabolical Umbridge ever. You guys totally win!

I have enjoyed everything that you two have written together. Your gift for storytelling is incredible.

Although there were moments of angst throughout, this story read as lighthearted to me. As with your magic candlesticks, I found myself intrigued with the ringed cape and loved seeing it develop affection for Severus. I also enjoyed that Harry was so comfortable in his insanity; that he was content with being insane and knowing he was insane, but wanted to get better simply because Severus said to.

So well done, so very enjoyable. I cannot say I am surprised, but I am very pleased. Thank you so much for sharing your work.

I enjoyed this a lot! Great plot. I loved all the magical details and that curse was the most horrible thing. Brilliant idea, you two, to come up with it. Poor Snape. My heart ached for him and I was enraged on his behalf during the first part until he got his magic back and I cheered. Umbridge was truly despicable. I hated her even more than I did when I read OotP, and I hated her quite a lot then! Of course, being the angst!whore that I am, I loved the angsty parts at the beginning and towards the end best. *g* I enjoyed the Camden part, too, especially since I've been there, though not to those particular places (I'll have to go look for them if I visit London again!). Harry saving Snape at the end and the people rebelling against Umbridge's regime was very satisfying! And yay, Snape got rid of that curse. I expected he would but had no idea how and I loved the way you did it. :-)

Loved this story, I never knew what direction it would go next. Never read an Insane Harry! story that was as hysterically funny as this. VERY clever use of the Veil.

Stunning

Impressively well-written and powerful. The Snape JKR ought to have written in rich detail (the magical inventions &c are excellent, and don't have the slightly-hokey feel of JKR's writing about the Dark Arts). Gripping. Doesn't get Snape's social class wrong and although I never thought of him as a punk enthusiast, he's the right age, and could have taken to it as the music of the grudge-holding disenfranchised. Probably my favourite story of the entire fest. I kept finding that the author/s (cannot remember if Acidburn is a co-writer as well as an artist) had anticipated objections I thought of making; one clear example of this being that as soon as I started wondering what effect a continual slow bleed would have on S's health, they mentioned him taking blood-replenishment potions.

Acidburn's art is not only more competent than any nine other fan artists' (I am so not a fan of the style that could be described as watered-down manga), but leaves the characters to the reader's imagination and elucidates the visual detail of things the characters see.

Brighter-than-he-looks Harry with wild magic in his hair and a Gryffindor-red Veil shower-curtain is made of win, and so is the sex scene.

A songfic without being crap.

The background of the appalling Ministry is also strong; this is a story where Harry won the war and is in danger of losing the peace.

That sherbet lemon was a nice touch - typical Dumbledore. And the Red Hand punishment, so Umbridge, vile woman. Harry in his mad superhero guise was great (tho' his clothing did morph between hospital-issue pyjamas and gaudy long johns - was that magic, or just continuity errors?) Loved Snape's post-punk persona, made me want to rush off to Camden Town straightaway. I'll even forgive you your dragon jibes. Great fic.

I enjoyed the story immensely. It seemed to begin as a potential political thriller, but its ending was just a lovely madcap romp/farce. So funny and very sweet!

And I want one of Snape's handprint tattoos. *g*

You guys out-strang'd yourselves! I thought No Place... was weird. Hah! What did I know. :)

I can't say everything worked in this story for me but it was for sure a fascinating reading with many a mind-altering detail :) Thank you!

Wow. I loved the red right hand-what a positively wicked punishment. Nutty!Harry was fabulous, Snape's taking his magic back too clever, the tattoos, Harry's antics with Umbridge, your graphics which I always love, Iggy Pop (double points for that!), the shower curtain (early on I wondered if it was some sort of Lethifold), the way the curse dissipated with more and more people taking it. Brilliant work as always.

Wow, you guys created such a bleak post-war universe, it made the unlikely alliance between Harry and Severus that much more compelling, like a flower that manages to push through the soil despite harsh conditions! The image of the red right hand is so vivid. It's such a creepy (and Umbridge-esque) way to punish those that the Ministry deemed war criminals. *shudders* I was rooting for Snape in all his fortitude, and that may or may not have been my hand toddler-fisting in the air when he got hired as a tattoo artist ;)

Like all your other stories, this one is so rich with details that it's an AU living and breathing on its own. Loved the trademark "defiant curl" of Acid's Harry's hair, and a Snape in Muggle jeans and T-shirt. This is a unique post-war universe with a wonderfully developed Harry and Severus, and I loved reading every moment of it that you shared here. Thank you :)

What a charming, crazy ride. Maybe it's a hackneyed compliment by now, but you guys infuse pure magic into your storytelling like nobody else. I really enjoyed this. :)

This is such a lovely read <3 I love the whole idea of the red hand, it carries such sadistic possibilities. I also love the way Snape and Harry's relationship took time to evolve without going through any overly romantic cliches.

Christ, this isn't a fic, it's a work of art. This was seriously brilliant. And for some odd reason, I snorfled at Harry's childish chalking of 'Hi!' on the door. Because you know, he really would do that :P The humour in your fics is always top-notch. And the uniqueness is always bar none. Question - why didn't you guys just cough up another grand and make it an even 50k? *G*

Oh. My. God. This is the coolest, most magical and fantastic and beautiful and absolutely stunning fic in the whole fest so far. I just love it when you two collaborate. I don't think I can put into words how this fic made me feel. The moment Severus took back his magic gave me goose bumps. Your characterisation is amazing. Your descriptions of magic and curses is unique. Really, I can't say enough how freaking fantastic this was. I'm going to reread this.

OMG so brilliant! I loved cute, crazy Harry and his super-dress and cape. And Severus listing to punk rock (yay! - wizard rock is arse!).

It was so frustrating reading about how unfair the MOM and the people were to Severus - and everyone else who wasn't a pureblood - and I was glad that in the end Umbridge got what she deserved!

Wonderful fic--the two of you! The red hand as punishment was truly creepy, but what I loved most was wacky!Harry and the resolution of it being the replacement of Snape's magic. Great job!
