WHO: Sirius Black and the gang (so really, basically everyone is welcome here!)

Sirius had waited until later in the day, because that was when Miles got off of work -- a strange concept, but who was Sirius to disagree with it when he got hand delivered coffee out of the deal? And in the mean time had invited plenty more people to just show up with them and check things out. No reason not to -- buddy systems were all fine and good, but going as a group had plenty of merits too. Divide and conquer, shouting loudly, never running out of people to chatter at, the usual.

Mind, he'd went and grabbed his best mates for coming along too, James and his Remus. They had to be there.

And it was worth it, all that (little) effort of coordination, once he opened up the door and a tropical scene of palm trees, bright sun and a sprawling city that boasted a beach nearby all stretched out before them.

Perfect. It was absolutely perfect.

And so, of course, he was quite pleased with himself. "Beach eventually, you all!" he decided, stepping through and oohhhing over the sunshine. "You won't believe how brilliant I am at a doggie paddle."

	Miles was in awe as he stepped through the portal, looking around. A beach. A beautiful, real beach. "This is....wow." He smiled and looked at the others before turning around. The honest truth was that Miles had NEVER been to a beach like this. Coney Island didn't count. This place was clean and the water was blue. "Nobody told me to bring a swimsuit!" Sirius hadn't really either -- these weren't the same kind of beaches that Europe on a whole had. These were tropical things that people dreamed of when they talked about going on a proper holiday, drinking fun colored alcohol out of coconuts and all. Which they probably should also do later.

"Do you even have swim--what are you?" He asked, interrupting himself in order to call attention to the pink and exceptionally bizarre animal that was lazing on a rock nearby. It wasn't often that Sirius looked at animals that were just minding their own business in nature and thought I have to have one. But here they were.

Miles was about to answer Sirius when he got distracted by the pink creature. Eyebrows in the air, he looked at Sirius like he'd gone crazy before spotting something else playing in the water. A strange duck running in circles and making an irritating sound.

The Spider-Man just stared a moment before glancing back at Sirius. "Uh....do you have these things where you come from?"

He had a feeling Sirius did not. And from everything Miles had seen and heard about the doors, this was....new. Especially considering it looked like there were people all around them, too. Like humans. Wearing clothes Miles could recognize.

"Is this Earth?"

Sirius' world (or portion of the world) back home had plenty of weird creatures, magical oddities and all but nothing quite like this. "Nope," he said, drawing out the p until it popped a bit. "And I dunno. Does it matter if it's Earth? We don't even live there now, so far as I can tell."

Fearlessly (or stupidly, sometimes they were one in the same for Sirius, but it didn't much matter to him) he edged forward with one hand reached out, damn near ready to touch the little animal. And while it didn't look bothered, it did just plop into the water and swim away before he got to go in for a pet. "Damn," he said. "Well, best explore further, eh? Town?"

"I guess not..." Miles muttered as he looked around at another weird creature passing them by. "Just saying because um...people. But what is this place? Like, what are these things?" He was honestly fascinated by them. All of them.

Miles was about to tell Sirius he might not wanna do that, but the creature plopped away and he shrugged. "Yeah, let's do it. See if it gets weirder, eh?" The teenager was grinning, excited to see what they might find in town. Little did he know, of course.

Steve wasn't entirely prepared for what was going to be beyond those doors. In his time with the academy, he was used to the idea of portals. Plus, waking up 75 years into the future was an...eye opening experience to say the least. Since it wasn't an official mission, he went for a more low key affair: jeans, his sneakers, a shirt, but kept his shield strapped to his back over his bag. After all, you never knew what might happen in a strange places.

Once they stepped through, though, his eyes widened. He'd been a lot of places during the war. He'd travelled a lot once he was with the academy and afterward. Most of those places were cold or sweltering with heat. Usually, in the dessert or the tundra or the middle east. But this? This was what he imagined Hawaii to be like and it was...wondrous. It was a good thing he packed a cap and some sunscreen in his bag just in case.

Sirius had recognized this guy as the younger version of the corn chip that ran around in the very early mornings, and everything had fallen into place from there. Only joggers worried about stepping on glass and nails without shoes, obviously.

He was still on the look out for more of those little animals, but sometimes it was nice to take a step back and see the forest for the trees, or whatever that saying was. The point was, it was lovely here. Like a proper holiday.

"Will you swim?" He asked, and it wasn't like he wasn't 500 percent loyal to Remus in every way, shape and form, but that didn't mean he couldn't hope another bloke might take his shirt off now and again.

Steve was busy surveying his surroundings that he'd zoned out the people he was with. Normally, he could multitask but the surprise and wonder of the location had gotten the best of him. So, when Sirius spoke to him, it startled him just a bit. "Sorry, what?" he asked with a chuckle. When the words finally sunk in, he blinked and shrugged. "Uh, I don't know. I hadn't packed for that." A small excursion that might involve a scuffle? Yes. Fun in the sun? No. Perhaps, though, that said a lot about his life.

He cleared his throat. "I take it that going for a swim has now shifted to the top of your list?" he asked with a half grin. Steve knew not everyone's priorities were the same. For some, venturing through a door was a pure thrill seeking adventure. Perhaps it was just the soldier in him that kept him cautious and nervous. Venturing into new territory was...sometimes hard. Especially when there were so many unknown factors.

It certainly did say something about his life, and it was nothing that Sirius might have approved of. Mind, he was always ready for a scuffle, and only ever needed one item in order to be. He could wear swim trunks at the same time, even. Occasionally, Sirius felt some real pity for those who weren't wizards.

"We can find swim wear," he pointed out, gesturing to the place. "Look at that tree. It's tropical. They sell things like that here, no doubt." Because yes, now that Steve mentioned it, Sirius did very much want to go down to the beach. "Isn't it on yours? What would you rather do?" He wasn't necessarily asking because he'd bend his own opinion, but because he was curious.

"Uh, I don't know," he replied. "I wasn't sure where we were going to end up." He rubbed the back of his neck and chuckled in that Oh Gosh, Gee sort of way that Steve sometimes did when he got genuinely flustered. This was, by far, the most confusing event. He'd prepared for all sorts of things since he'd been taken on ice. Sure, things were fine and dandy, even a bit silly, back at the academy, but that was the safety of the academy. More often than not, there was need to prep for the next mission and any excursions often involved having his suit at the ready and diving in to coordinate the team where he could because villainy was afoot (wow that sounded old timey). This? Popping into a place where that was, basically, paradise? At least on the surface? If he were honest, put him a little more on edge. What was the catch? What was lurking about that wasn't sure of?

"I was hoping, I guess, to get a lay of the land before I relaxed too much," he replied honestly. "No sense in letting your guard down and all of a sudden giant robots fall from the sky and start causing destruction." Because that happened once, you know. He tilted his head, though. "But hitting the beach after exploring a bit does sound like a nice idea. We'd probably have to figure out how to get money. I doubt that they'd barter for things." From his experience, very few cultures bartered anymore.

Although Remus was typically not one to go through the doors unless absolutely necessary, he'd chosen to go this time. It was in his nature to be curious, and he was admittedly going a little stir crazy in town. Not to mention, well, Sirius required his attendance and saying no to him was basically impossible. So there he was, in a new place surrounded by an entirely different environment. It looked tropical, which was a bit different than anything he'd ever seen before in person.

He took in a deep breath, enjoying the scent of the sea air quite a bit. With his heightened senses, the scent of the salt water was strong, and he really liked it. The warmth of the sun was quite nice too, though he was a little worried about getting a sunburn.

For now, he waited to watch as the others started scattering around on their various adventures to see if he'd strike out alone, or if he might venture out with someone to see what this place was all about.

He'd said he wanted more information about the doors, and well hearing that they were going interesting places was just about all the excuse that Tony needed to go and check it out. So he'd gotten his second phone - well it had once been a phone, he'd taken it apart for scraps and rebuilt it to try and get some readings from the places through the doors and then ran through when he heard that others were going.

They came out into a place that really could have been some sort of tropical island, the sun was warm, and the sea looked nice and inviting, it was the sort of thing that you'd see someone posing on facebook after they'd had some amazing vacation. And here they were now looking out on it.

He saw Remus there on the beach set apart a little bit as others started to step out and explore a bit more and Tony made his way over. "Kind of unbelievable isn't it?" He said as he approached him, grin on his face and his phone tucked away, he'd check out any readings he got later when they got back. "I'm pretty sure I've been to a beach just like this once before." He admitted.

"You gonna check this place out? Or are you planning on just soaking up some sun?" He asked, curious. He could go either way truth be told. Tony did love a little sun, but this place was just begging to be explored, he could hardly blame the others who had already set out.

Remus had begun to wonder if having a solo adventure was more for him. He liked to look at things a little longer, study them, understand them and absorb the details and sometimes that was a little slower paced than others would like. But he had always been like that. Being a boy who'd been kept indoors most of his childhood, his only means for exploration had been through books. So being able to come to a place like this was like being in one of those books, only better because he was creating his own adventure.

Before he could decide on whether or not to strike out alone, another person approached him and his eyebrows momentarily lifted in surprise. He still wasn't really used to people talking to him so readily. Granted, not many people in town knew the extent of what exactly he was, so maybe that was it.

"I was thinking about setting out, giving the place a good look. It is quite different. I've never been to a beach before. Only read about them in books and seen them in photographs and Muggle films. I'm Remus, Remus Lupin. I saw you at your birthday party. You're Tony Stark, yes?" He wouldn't say the other Tony Stark just because he knew the elder of the two. That wasn't right. They were both individuals and their own people.

"No way," Tony said with pure disbelief. Sure he'd heard there were people in the world who had never been to the beach before, but how could that really be true? That was like saying there were people who had never actually seen the sun before - the sort of thing that you could maybe imagine was true, but was probably definitely not. "You've really never been to the beach before? How is that even possible?" Even if it wasn't quite as picturesque a beach as this one it felt strange.

"I am, yeah." He agreed with a grin, easy and pleased that it was just Tony Stark, and not something about being the young one. He probably shouldn't miss something like that, but a part of him did - being the one and only, being known for simply being himself. But he was getting over it, he was fine - the party had been fun and - "Yeah, yeah I saw you there too. Actually I've seen you around town a few times, probably should have said hello before now." He admitted.

But when he wasn't working on sensors and potential updates for the town he was having mental breaks over ridiculous things that hardly warranted as much of his sanity as he tended to devote to them - so it left him being kind of bad at meeting new people. But here he was trying. "What would you say about a little company while you're checking things out?" He asked hopefully. Of course he'd leave Remus alone if he preferred going out on his own, but like who didn't want company?

Maybe that was just a Tony thing.

"I mean only if you want," He rushed to add. "I'm kind of hoping maybe I'll get some readings from this place, and maybe we'll find something interesting. I ended up with a new robot after one of my last trips." Rambling much too much rambling. "I mean I don't think we'll find robots on the beach, but there could be something worth seeing around here?"

"Certainly," he said, and offered a smile. Remus wasn't really used to people he didn't already know offering their company but he'd come to find that the people of Starklandia were pretty different than those in Wizarding society. Then again, only the elder Tony Stark knew of his affliction. It might change the opinions of others if he revealed it, though Remus was feeling that it might be time to do so. Thus far, he and Sirius had considerable luck in finding places to go during the full moon through the doors. They'd only once had to rely upon the woods in town and Padfoot to keep Moony from wreaking havoc on the town so far. That said, there were enough enhanced individuals who could probably stop him, but Remus didn't want to be a burden. Still, he was considering taking Tony up on his offer for a containment type pen this month, as it seemed everywhere the doors led to had to do with this place where people lived peacefully with the strange little creatures roaming about. The last thing he wanted to do was unleash a rabid werewolf on them.

But, that was another thought for later. "Company is welcome." Remus had hoped that if he made enough good acquaintances, maybe even friends in town that if he had to reveal his other self it might bring with it some understanding.

"I'm interested in learning more about the technology from your world," he said. "I've spoken to the other Tony about it briefly. We had initial conversations about perhaps sometime seeing how we might merge both science and magic -- I'm a wizard, by the way, if you didn't already know? Anyway, to see if we could find a happy balance between the two to make some useful things for the town. So, I'd love to observe what sort of findings might be about, that you find could be of use."

Bucky had kept a slight distance back from the rest of the group that initially went through the door that led to the tropical place. He'd been a little hesitant about going at all, but he ultimately wanted to because he kind of just wanted to get out for a little while, on his own.

He'd been through a lot, emotionally, really ever since arriving in town. Honestly, even before that -- his whole life had been an emotional rollercoaster ever since regaining his memories. And sometimes, he just needed to go clear his head. Wandering around in this new town through the door seemed like a good idea. Clint and Natasha might get on him for going without telling anyone but he'd apologize for it later. Actually, they might just understand and not get on his case at all. For that, he'd thank them instead.

It'd been a while since he'd walked through sand. Looking around, he sort of tried to assess if there was any sort of danger and no, it didn't feel like it. The thing that was weird was that there were.. animals? Creatures? Kind of roaming around but none of the people he saw seemed bothered or scared. So he just had to assume that was normal, no matter how odd it looked.

He left the beach, and began down a path that led to more of a village market type place. Bucky looked around, thinking he'd bring something back for Nat and Clint, and just taking in whatever he could see.

Steve was amazed by the island. A) Because he'd always wanted to go to a tropical island and b) there were strange creatures that populated the reality that were just fascinating. From what he'd gathered, the creatures were native to the land. His initial reaction? Aliens. Possibly government experiments. After all, it wouldn't be the first time that the government had decided to do something in an effort to "better" their circumstances. Each animal seemed to have a different skill, and from what he'd seen, they'd bonded with a human (sometimes). He was still trying to figure out if they were pets or something more? It was hard to tell.

Another difficulty he encountered was the weather. When he arrived, he was overly dressed. The idea that they might end up in a warm environment -- the kind of warm that would, eventually, be unbearable. So, once they'd arrived, he'd rolled up his jeans so that they stopped at just above his calf. He'd removed his blue checkered shirt and wrapped it around his waist, leaving him with a muscle tee. His shoes were tied along the handle of his backpack. As it turned out, walking about barefoot wasn't so bad in this village. Though, to be fair, he'd just come from the beach. Meanwhile, he wore a baseball cap that, currently, he swung backwards.

He smiled, softly, as he watched some of the creatures play with some of the younger children. Eventually, as he weaved through the crowd -- he caught sight of a familiar sight. He hadn't seen him arrive with them. Though, in truth, he'd wandered off just as soon as he arrived. Slipping his hands in his pockets, he saddled up quiet as could be next to Bucky and said: "Fancy running into you." He offered him a warm smile, though, as he leaned against the table.

This world was more than a little strange, but Bucky kind of liked that. He didn't want to see more of the same. Having completely different surroundings was a good thing in his case. He needed that. It took him out of his head and let him just live in the moment. That was something he really needed to do a lot more of, and was learning how the longer he was in their town.

Bucky had been watching a kid playing with some sort of big duck that had its hands on the sides of its head. This place and the way people interacted with the animals -- creatures? -- was very interesting. It wasn't like they were pets. More like partners? Was that the right word? Whatever it was, it was very interesting to Bucky.

He was a little caught up in that, rather than being hyper vigilant like he was most of the time, so he didn't realize it until he heard another voice that someone was next to him, talking to him. He turned and much to his surprise it was Steve -- the younger Steve. Bucky hadn't seen him in a while. "Hey," he said, and offered a little smile. "How are you?"

How was he? He shrugged. Steve was still trying to figure that out. Last he'd checked, Jan was gone. That was...unsettling. Perhaps, for a moment, it flashed on his face. But if in his short time here had taught him anything, people came and went at random. He just hoped that when they went -- they went back home. Because the thought of something awful happening would be too much to bear, so he chose to be optimistic. "I'm okay," he said as he forced his expression to shift, "figured a distraction was in order." He glanced at a few of the items before them on the table, fingers brushing up against some of them to feel the texture. "And I hadn't yet slipped through a door yet."

"How about you?" he asked as he picked up a sphere object--blue and white. Interesting. He shook it and tried to listen to see if there was anything inside. He set it back down before focusing on... His friend? Could he call him that? He hesitated. "I've been thinking about you," he admitted. "Saw you storm out the last time we saw each other. I was going to follow you out and see if you were okay, but I wasn't sure if that was my place." He was, after all, not his Bucky. He figured maybe the older Steve would do that. "Plus, if you're anything like the Bucky in my universe, sometimes you need a bit of time to think."

His eyes widened, though, as overhead a pair of giant butterflies or at least butterfly type creatures flew near them, swirling around each other. He reached over to touch Bucky's arm and motioned toward it. "This place is..." He laughed. "I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. Kind of amazing, right?"

It was a little hard to see Steve, admittedly, because of the lingering and unresolved sort of situation he was going through with the Steve from his world. His Steve -- could he refer to him that way anymore, even in his head? It didn't carry any sort of romantic undertone but there was still a level of possession there that he wasn't sure was his to take at this point. That was unsettling, but also undetermined. He knew he couldn't avoid the Steve he knew much longer. He'd wanted space and he'd gotten it. There was a lot of clarity for him now, at least in his own personal life and he was happy with that. The last step to closure would be to see how he felt whenever he was around Steve again. He just needed to feel brave enough to go there. But now was not the time for all that.

"Thanks for saying that," he said. "It's probably just as well you didn't. I was not really in the best head space. But I'd really enjoyed seeing you before that." Thankfully Clint had taken pretty good care of him after that episode with Stark. "But, just for clarity. You're Steve Rogers. Even if you're not the same one I grew up with, you're always gonna be welcome."

He looked up and could actually hear the fluttering of wings above them. Bucky had never seen butterflies like that before. "This place, it's pretty incredible. Do you want to take a walk? See more of it?" He'd intended to do that by himself, but there was a familiarity there even if he couldn't call this Steve his.

James definitely didn't mind being grabbed for grand adventures. Especially going through those Doors, because they were pretty amazing and fun the last couple of times they'd experimented with them. He was looking forward to meeting people and experiencing something new--that's the whole point of this place, right?

Anyway, so only a follower when it was Sirius he was following, James stepped through the doorway his friend had opened. The grin that crossed his lips at the doggie paddle comment was absolutely brilliant and shiny.

Then he was distracted by the local flora and fauna, and turned to head off away from the group. Something caught his eye.

Nyx was dressed casually. Very casually all things considered for the man since he had arrived in this strange land. Dressed in jeans and a black t-shirt (also still armed, but with both kukris now instead of one) he was prepared to adventure forth into the world that was through the doors. Seemingly, from what he had understood was the doors were opening to the same world, universe? Whatever you wanted to call it, just like the time he traveled to Tatooine multiple times. Especially that time he met America.

He'd have to get her something nice while he was in this world. Or better yet! Bring her in the next day or two and adventure with her! Brilliant.

Regardless of those thoughts he had a person to meet to day. He wasn't sure who this 'Vision' was, the name being interesting all on it owns, but he was meeting this person and venturing into the world together. Buddy system someone had called it? Appropriate and wise. Fiddling about his phone that he got when he had first arrived, he felt a presence walk up to him. Glancing up, Nyx raised an eyebrow.

"Vision?" Nyx asked and when he got the confirmation, he smiled holding his hand out after pocketing the device. "Nyx Ulric. Glad to have you today.

Vision was easy to spot, due to his electronic flare of his appearance. He nodded as an answer to the man's guess but, looking upon the beach before them, took a moment to pull himself together. "One second," he said quietly to him as he took a step back to transition himself in the flesh - literally. His robotic appearance disappeared and he was framed with something more human, with a wardrobe more fitting for the warm climate as well.

The transition only took a second and, when it was complete, a smile swept over his face. Resuming his greeting, he reached out and shook Nyx's hands. "Forgive me, I just felt this would be a bit more comfortable. After all, it seems as though the waves and the sand wouldn't do well with my first choice of wardrobe."

"How are you, Nyx?"

The blink of an eye, and Vision was not metallic and flesh. Now that was some interesting magic right there. Who ever this man was, he had some serious tricks up his sleeve, and that was impressive for the Glaive. So much so, Nyx pointed. "That magic. It's pretty good."

Nyx laughed as he nudged with his head towards a direction for them to venture. "What else can you do." Nyx asked looking over to the man he was traveling with.

Then there it was. An adorable little creature. "Oh. My. Gods." Nyx said. "Look at it." Jan would love that thing. It was absolutely adorable. Crouching to examine it more from the distance they were, Nyx took a picture with his phone so he could show her later. "What do you think it is, Vis?" Nyx asked immediately shortening the other man's name.

Vision had never seen anything quite like the little monster who welcomed himself into their conversation. With the question, he truly had no answer to give right away, which was strange for Vision. He was quiet, which wasn't all that strange for Vision, but it was when considering the confusion on his face. "I honestly have no idea what... who this is."

Kneeling next to Nyx, he leaned in to have a better observation. "It is truly of this world, isn't it?" After taking in the appearance and mannerisms of the creature, Vision was comfortable enough to sit down in front of it and hold out his hand to it, encouraging it to come. "It seems friendly enough," he noted as his fingertips gently touched its ears.
