WHO: Sirius Black and the gang (so really, basically everyone is welcome here!)
WHAT: ADVENTURES, ROMPING. POKEMON.
WHERE: The Alola Door- Hau’oil City
WHEN: Saturday

Sirius had waited until later in the day, because that was when Miles got off of work -- a strange concept, but who was Sirius to disagree with it when he got hand delivered coffee out of the deal? And in the mean time had invited plenty more people to just show up with them and check things out. No reason not to -- buddy systems were all fine and good, but going as a group had plenty of merits too. Divide and conquer, shouting loudly, never running out of people to chatter at, the usual.

Mind, he'd went and grabbed his best mates for coming along too, James and his Remus. They had to be there.

And it was worth it, all that (little) effort of coordination, once he opened up the door and a tropical scene of palm trees, bright sun and a sprawling city that boasted a beach nearby all stretched out before them.

Perfect. It was absolutely perfect.

And so, of course, he was quite pleased with himself. "Beach eventually, you all!" he decided, stepping through and oohhhing over the sunshine. "You won't believe how brilliant I am at a doggie paddle."

Although Remus was typically not one to go through the doors unless absolutely necessary, he'd chosen to go this time. It was in his nature to be curious, and he was admittedly going a little stir crazy in town. Not to mention, well, Sirius required his attendance and saying no to him was basically impossible. So there he was, in a new place surrounded by an entirely different environment. It looked tropical, which was a bit different than anything he'd ever seen before in person.

He took in a deep breath, enjoying the scent of the sea air quite a bit. With his heightened senses, the scent of the salt water was strong, and he really liked it. The warmth of the sun was quite nice too, though he was a little worried about getting a sunburn.

For now, he waited to watch as the others started scattering around on their various adventures to see if he'd strike out alone, or if he might venture out with someone to see what this place was all about.

He'd said he wanted more information about the doors, and well hearing that they were going interesting places was just about all the excuse that Tony needed to go and check it out. So he'd gotten his second phone - well it had once been a phone, he'd taken it apart for scraps and rebuilt it to try and get some readings from the places through the doors and then ran through when he heard that others were going.

They came out into a place that really could have been some sort of tropical island, the sun was warm, and the sea looked nice and inviting, it was the sort of thing that you'd see someone posing on facebook after they'd had some amazing vacation. And here they were now looking out on it.

He saw Remus there on the beach set apart a little bit as others started to step out and explore a bit more and Tony made his way over. "Kind of unbelievable isn't it?" He said as he approached him, grin on his face and his phone tucked away, he'd check out any readings he got later when they got back. "I'm pretty sure I've been to a beach just like this once before." He admitted.

"You gonna check this place out? Or are you planning on just soaking up some sun?" He asked, curious. He could go either way truth be told. Tony did love a little sun, but this place was just begging to be explored, he could hardly blame the others who had already set out.

Remus had begun to wonder if having a solo adventure was more for him. He liked to look at things a little longer, study them, understand them and absorb the details and sometimes that was a little slower paced than others would like. But he had always been like that. Being a boy who'd been kept indoors most of his childhood, his only means for exploration had been through books. So being able to come to a place like this was like being in one of those books, only better because he was creating his own adventure.

Before he could decide on whether or not to strike out alone, another person approached him and his eyebrows momentarily lifted in surprise. He still wasn't really used to people talking to him so readily. Granted, not many people in town knew the extent of what exactly he was, so maybe that was it.

"I was thinking about setting out, giving the place a good look. It is quite different. I've never been to a beach before. Only read about them in books and seen them in photographs and Muggle films. I'm Remus, Remus Lupin. I saw you at your birthday party. You're Tony Stark, yes?" He wouldn't say the other Tony Stark just because he knew the elder of the two. That wasn't right. They were both individuals and their own people.

"No way," Tony said with pure disbelief. Sure he'd heard there were people in the world who had never been to the beach before, but how could that really be true? That was like saying there were people who had never actually seen the sun before - the sort of thing that you could maybe imagine was true, but was probably definitely not. "You've really never been to the beach before? How is that even possible?" Even if it wasn't quite as picturesque a beach as this one it felt strange.

"I am, yeah." He agreed with a grin, easy and pleased that it was just Tony Stark, and not something about being the young one. He probably shouldn't miss something like that, but a part of him did - being the one and only, being known for simply being himself. But he was getting over it, he was fine - the party had been fun and - "Yeah, yeah I saw you there too. Actually I've seen you around town a few times, probably should have said hello before now." He admitted.

But when he wasn't working on sensors and potential updates for the town he was having mental breaks over ridiculous things that hardly warranted as much of his sanity as he tended to devote to them - so it left him being kind of bad at meeting new people. But here he was trying. "What would you say about a little company while you're checking things out?" He asked hopefully. Of course he'd leave Remus alone if he preferred going out on his own, but like who didn't want company?

Maybe that was just a Tony thing.

"I mean only if you want," He rushed to add. "I'm kind of hoping maybe I'll get some readings from this place, and maybe we'll find something interesting. I ended up with a new robot after one of my last trips." Rambling much too much rambling. "I mean I don't think we'll find robots on the beach, but there could be something worth seeing around here?"

"Certainly," he said, and offered a smile. Remus wasn't really used to people he didn't already know offering their company but he'd come to find that the people of Starklandia were pretty different than those in Wizarding society. Then again, only the elder Tony Stark knew of his affliction. It might change the opinions of others if he revealed it, though Remus was feeling that it might be time to do so. Thus far, he and Sirius had considerable luck in finding places to go during the full moon through the doors. They'd only once had to rely upon the woods in town and Padfoot to keep Moony from wreaking havoc on the town so far. That said, there were enough enhanced individuals who could probably stop him, but Remus didn't want to be a burden. Still, he was considering taking Tony up on his offer for a containment type pen this month, as it seemed everywhere the doors led to had to do with this place where people lived peacefully with the strange little creatures roaming about. The last thing he wanted to do was unleash a rabid werewolf on them.

But, that was another thought for later. "Company is welcome." Remus had hoped that if he made enough good acquaintances, maybe even friends in town that if he had to reveal his other self it might bring with it some understanding.

"I'm interested in learning more about the technology from your world," he said. "I've spoken to the other Tony about it briefly. We had initial conversations about perhaps sometime seeing how we might merge both science and magic -- I'm a wizard, by the way, if you didn't already know? Anyway, to see if we could find a happy balance between the two to make some useful things for the town. So, I'd love to observe what sort of findings might be about, that you find could be of use."

Tony had been just a little hesitant at first when he'd offered his company, you never knew with people really, and he wasn't like Jan ready to make friends with anyone. He was a little more.... well Tony. But Remus agreed and Tony perked right up, grin on his face ready to make the most of this place.

"Oh yeah!" Tony nodded when Remus explained that he was a wizard, like Sirius - Tony's mind connected the two, "Yeah that's something I'd love to figure out a bit more too." He pulled out the other phone he'd been letting run passively since he arrived to show Remus what he was doing here.

"See, this one I'm using to try and pick up some readings from this place." He explained, "Whether or not there are energy fluxes when we go through the doors or interact with the locals, or anything like that. I want to try and get a better idea about how the building works. There has to be some kind of magic at work, I'm just not sure what kind." Because he'd learned plenty about magic at the school, and there were all different kinds - but maybe Remus could shed a little bit of light on the kind of magic he used.

"But that's all kind of to look at when we get back." He didn't want to weigh either of them down in talking numbers and data when they were here on this bright sort of day. "Wanna walk down the beach a bit see what we find?"

Remus thought perhaps it could've been a marriage between technology and magic that could've brought them all to Starklandia. He didn't have any proof, but it sounded like a plausible way. He didn't know if it would be beneficial in taking them back where they came from -- and some, he had a feeling, might not want to go back. But that wasn't why he wanted to learn about it. Remus was just genuinely a very curious person and learning new things was right up his alley.

He peered at the phone and studied the screen while Tony pointed things out to him. Remus had always been kind of a sponge for knowledge so this sort of thing scratched an itch for him, so to speak. Of course, it also spawned dozens of questions about technology in general, but he kept them to himself right now. "Yeah, let's have a look," he said. As they walked, he brought something else up he'd thought of. "In my world, we have sort a method of transportation where you charm an object to take you somewhere. It's called a Port Key. I wonder if, perhaps, these doors have similar magic put upon them to take us to these different places."

Tony had the feeling that he could probably get away with showing Remus more of this when they got back without fearing that it'd all go straight over his head and push him into that space that people tended to go to when he started his rambling about something new he was working on. He'd have to try that again later, but for now they had an adventure to go on.

"Huh," Tony hadn't ever heard of a Port Key of course, but the idea of it was interesting as a mechanic for the way the doors worked, "You know I hadn't considered something quite like that, but I like it." He told him. "I've been trying to figure out if it's the timing that changes the location or if it's us, something like that - well it'd lend itself to the idea that it's us having some small measure of influence once we pick a door to go through." He said thoughtfully as they walked together.

"I kind of hoped maybe I'd end up in a place a little less.... appealing than this." He admitted with a low laugh, "This place just makes you want to go around checking it all out, appreciating it and everything, some place that was a little more normal, well I could just sit around and take a couple of readings and see what I got."

And of course then they came up on some little animal at the edge of the sand and Tony frowned tilting his head to one side as he looked at it, "Well that's interesting."

One of the things that Remus had come to learn upon finding himself in the township of Starklandia, was that they all could truly learn a lot from each other. He didn't think that they were necessarily taking advantage of that all the time, but they also all had some personal situations that needed to be tended to as well, it seemed. He knew he could certainly say that was true for him. But now that a lot of that had been sorted out for him, he was eager to learn more about technology. Remus had been exposed to it a little, having been shown some of what existed in Muggle culture. But he was also from a time period where a lot of the things technology wise had not come to be yet. That in of itself was fascinating.

Hopefully he'd pick up on some of it. If not, well, it was still fun to listen to. Remus hoped that at some point they might be able to blend magic and technology. For what purpose, he wasn't sure. Going home wasn't really at the top of his list of things to do, but he knew for some people, it was. That was another thought for another day, though. Right now, he was keen just to explore this island paradise and observe the creatures that lived there.

"Oh, I've never seen anything like that before, and that's.. well, that's saying something," Remus said. His world had its fair share of magical creatures. "I wonder if it's friendly." Remus crouched down. "Hello, there." It was a fluffy little thing, that was for sure. "Does.. um.. Can you get readings on this little thing?"

Tony had decidedly less experience with creatures outside of your typical every day non-magical animals. More than your average person, after all how often did you get to meet a T-Rex when you didn't go to the Avengers Academy? But that was besides the point, because this little thing was definitely not a T-Rex or any other animal Tony had ever seen before.

"Yeah, yeah never seen anything like that either." Tony agreed, watching as Remus crouched down a little to get a better look at it as he talked to the little thing.

Tony wasn't sure about any readings but he did pull out his phone to see if anything interesting came up, but truthfully he hadn't really programmed it for situations like this, so he was kind of winging it. "Well best I can get is that it's native to this world." Which, duh, Tony. Where else would it be from? "And uh.... I think it's got some sort of abilities?" Tony said frowning at what he was getting after a quick scan of the little guy.

"Are magic creatures a thing where you're from?" He wondered, maybe that's what this was if it could do things.

One thing that Remus had learned very early on was to never judge a book by its cover, both literally and metaphorically. The latter most definitely applied to himself, given his own situation and affliction of lycanthropy. To look at him, one would never guess there was a vicious, insatiable wolf that he turned into once a month for a night. Therefore, no matter how cute the little fluffy creature he was talking to was, Remus had no idea what it was capable of. Though he had his wand in his pocket, he did not reach for it so as not to alarm the little thing, but he was ready to perform wandless defensive spells if need be. That said, his sense of danger around him wasn't really triggering so he wasn't terribly concerned. Still, one could never be too careful, could they?

"Well, that's something, isn't it?" Remus said when Tony gave what little information he could pull on the Pokemon. He'd always offer encouragement, even for the smallest bit of help.

When he asked about magical creatures, Remus smiled a little bit to himself. "Ah, yes," he said. "Several. Dragons, unicorns, pixies, goblins, mermaids, trolls, goblins, puffskeins, hippogriffs, thestrals," he paused just a beat, "werewolves." Remus was still teetering on the whole subject of making it known beyond Sirius, James, and the other Tony about being one. Maybe he'd test the waters today.

"We have a subject in our schooling dedicated to studying them," he went on to say. The Pokemon chanted something at him and let Remus pet the top of its head. "I don't think we've anything to fear from this one."

He supposed it was something, though not much - his scanner wasn't really meant for this sort of thing - he'd have to try and come up with something like that for his next trip through the doors. That was one thing about this place - there was always something new that you found you could probably use.

Remus didn't look too worried though, maybe a little bit like he wasn't ready to accept the cute little guy at face value, but considering the readings Tony thought that was only right.

He nodded when Remus listed off some of the magical creatures from where he was from, he'd heard of some, the usual dragons unicorns, mermaids, but there were others that he'd never heard of. "Huh, never heard of that many." He admitted, but well they were from different worlds so he supposed that made sense. But despite Remus' experience with magical creatures he didn't seem to identify this one as one that he'd studied.

"It looks pretty cute," Tony remarked, you know for a possibly magical creature, he grinned watching Remus move closer and then lean down to pet it. "Kind of like a - well I mean I guess a little like a sheep but only because it's fluffy." He admitted after a moment of trying to relate it to something he'd seen before.

The discovery of this particular Pokemon had perked his interests, and Remus really wanted to find more of them. They were fascinating creatures, and it sounded like they all could perform various skills. It was his natural inclination to be curious, so of course he wondered what those skills were, if there were variables for how they were developed, different classifications of Pokemon in general, and about a dozen other questions. Maybe two or three dozen, the longer he let his mind spin. That was usually what happened whenever he thought of something new.

"You be on your way, mate," he said to the Pokemon and gave it a final pat before standing up. He waved to it as it scampered off where it'd been heading before they stumbled upon it. "Want to look for more? I think some people were bringing them back to town." And if Remus knew Sirius -- which he did -- they'd likely have one back home. He wasn't sure if he'd get one for himself just yet. The circumstances would need to be right.

"Or we could see what else this place has in terms of supplies."

Okay yeah, Tony could admit that little guy was pretty adorable, or maybe it was the combination of Remus sending him off and the little wave or who knew - but Tony decided yeah they were definitely adorable and well worth checking the area for other kinds of them, or even just more of that one. "Yes, I think we should definitely check around and see what we find." Even if they didn't find much it was worth the chance that they might.

"Do you think you'd want one?" He wondered, because well Tony was just now realizing that was something that maybe they'd do - and he'd never really been a pet sort of person, he was more a bot sort of guy. But after seeing the little fluff ball running off into the brush, he thought maybe he could make an exception.

"Maybe we'll look around a little bit more and then we can check on supplies before we head back?" He suggested, because now his mind was running off on the idea of whether or not he could handle something like this himself.

"Oh, I'm not sure," he said, and tilted his head in thought. "I have a feeling Sirius will have one back at our house at some point, but I'd not thought about having one for myself." Remus had never had a pet as a child. It was simply impossible with his affliction being so difficult to manage when he was younger and his parents having to devote their time to taking care of him. A pet wasn't really an option. Remus had an owl in school, but he'd freed him after his seventh year.

"I think that sounds like the logical thing to do," he added, when Tony suggested they look for supplies on the way back. They wouldn't have to carry them as far that way. Granted, Remus could shrink anything they found down to be small enough to fit in their pockets, but still.

"I think I hear some sounds that way," he said, nodding in an eastern direction. His heightened senses lent themselves to him being able to pick out the sounds of what he presumed were more pokemon and not just people chattering. "Shall we?"

"Yeah? You live with Sirius?" He asked, he liked Sirius - he was easy to talk to and fun and kind of familiar in a way even being a wizard. He supposed one of these little guys per household wasn't a bad idea, and well not everyone wanted a pet these days, Tony had never really been a pet guy himself - well maybe he would have been if his parents had allowed it, but they hadn't so he'd built his own and then he'd grown attached and it seemed silly to try and replace the bots he cared so much about with something that he actually had to remember to feed and water and probably take on walks.

"So you guys knew each other right? From before?" He asked, curious and interested in getting to know Remus a little bit better, he'd made a couple of friends since he'd arrived but he had definitely relied heavily on Jan and well - yeah he wasn't going to think about that. Time to make new friends and when he got back home he could tell her all about them. It's what she'd have wanted.

He glanced in the direction that Remus said he thought he heard some from but didn't hear anything himself but shrugged, he trusted Remus enough to go and check it out at least. "Yeah, totally - maybe we'll find something really cool." He grinned.

A shy smile pulled a his lips. "Yes," he said, answering his questions in one answer. "We met when we first started school together. For me it's been eleven years." Remus had to remember that although he could go on and on singing the praises of Sirius Black for hours and still find more things to say, not everyone might want to hear it so he kept himself in check. "We were roommates, and best mates for the duration. And afterward, well, we kept living together." A little pink tint stained his cheeks.

"He's quite remarkable, really. He's done so much for me, over the years. I get sick a lot, quite sick, and he always takes care of me, even when I tell him not to fuss," Remus said. His shy smile grew a little bit and he shook his head. "Sorry, I told myself to not speak too much, but he's quite special to me. Bit of a soulmate, really."

He pushed a bit of shrubbery back and a little ways away it looked like there were a handful of a few different Pokemon. Some sort of creature that resembled a spider, some floating things that looked like fish shaped like hearts, and some birds. He'd been right. "Looks like they aren't just independent to their own kind. They can live harmoniously," he observed. "That's good for the town's sake, with people bringing them back."

Tony couldn't help but grin as Remus told him a little bit more about living with Sirius, how they'd met at school and lived together there and then again when they'd finished, and now here they were in some alternate dimension and they still managed it. "That's great, kind of amazing when you think about it actually - the odds of you both ending up in the same place like this?" He whistled a little at the sheer improbability of it all.

It was pretty obvious even without the soulmate talk that Remus was pretty much gone over Sirius, and Tony kind of loved that. It made him wish that he could figure things out with Steve a bit more instead of falling over himself constantly whenever they talked. But until that day came he'd just go on enjoying other people figuring it out. "No, it's great, really. It's really amazing that you guys have that, and that you get to have it here too."

"Okay, wow." Tony said as they pushed in through some of the local plant life and saw several more of the little creatures moving around, Remus was right, this was a really good sign and maybe it made Tony want to find one that he might be able to bring home too because they were amaazingly cute. "These guys are freaking adorable." He said eyes wide with delight, "I kind of want one now." He admitted with a laugh. "I guess it'll be a matter of whether or not there's one that really fits, but wow - these guys are just.... wow." Yeah he was definitely just in awe for the moment, loving watching the little fish ones floating around like they were find out of the water - not really swimming but moving like they were. It was just plain cool
