It's friday - it's rec day with 6 fics to rec: four marvelous snupins, a Snape/Hermione and a snarry.

hogwartshoney's The Winner takes it all. Interesting use of second and third person voices here, in this story of an embittered Severus raging over his longings for and loss of Remus, and a trying-to-get-on-with-life Remus, who hasn't quite managed to get over Severus!

Christine X's The Quality of Mercy - an interesting Snape/Hermione WIP with an intriguingly snarky yet vulnerable Severus, & a bereaved Hermione trying to find some happiness in her life.

And from the snarry_games, lilyseyes's Immaculate Misconception. I'm not a MPreg fan, but every now & then, it just works because the story is good enough for me to suspend disbelief. A magical accident leads to unforeseen consequences for Severus & Harry. Can Harry convince Severus he has changed?

And yet another MPreg that works - a Snape/Lupin in the afterlife fic by snapelike, Walk Through Darkness. This is an MPreg with a twist - definitely not your usual MPreg fic. A "dark romance".

And from the LMoM fest at pervy_werewolf, another wonderful fic: The Diary of a Death Eater Whore by snapelike - the author's summary: Severus Snape returns to a post-war wizarding world without the Dark Lord. No matter the Dark Lord died, his followers still won the battle and the power to rule. In this new world, former Order members are forced to get by as best they can - those who haven't escaped - even if the occupation is not to their liking. Some have even become quite successful and sought after - like Remus Lupin. The question is: will this new world order make it impossible for love to develop and grow between two such different people as a Death Eater spy and a paid man, a werewolf whore? The first chapter is off to a brilliant and sizzlingly hot start, with a complex and snarky Severus back in England after a 9 year absence. Knowing snapelike's writing, I am confident the following chapters will be equally brilliant and addictive.

And from the lupin_snape family fest, the first chapter of geri_chan's Father's Day. As anyone who has read geri_chan's fic knows (and if you haven't there's a wonderful treat in store for you because they're marvelous) Geri has created a brilliantly self-sustained AU world with a magnificently snarky Severus who absolutely adores his partner, Remus. Father's Day is from this AU setting, from her wonderful Always series.

cardigrl rec'ed a Snape/OMC story by Josan called A Gift of Light back in this post.  It was an excellent story, and I definitely second the rec. However, my OTP is Snape/Lupin, and it turns out that the story was based on a shorter Snupin story called Snape & Son, in which Snape discovers that he has a Hogwarts-age son by a woman he had a brief fling with years ago.

Hello again1 I'm sure many other people have recommended Terri's work, but, if not (and even if so), I'm doing it again. IMHO, this is what year 7 should have been.
