Modern!Huckleberry looking for psls:
The Tom Sawyer:
Partner in crime and best friend for life. Tom is a middle-class boy who runs away from home after [enter life-shattering event of your choice here] and when he witnesses Huck stealing some rich guy’s purse, Tom follows Huck to his hide-out.
I would love to add some romance to this line (because I love friends-to-lovers lines).
The Jim:
An older man – be it a friend of Huck’s older brother/older cousin who tries to help Huck and takes him in, or a prostitute/stripper/tranny/homeless male who helps Huck survive [age-gap optional, road-trip a la Jim&Huck's adventure optional].
The Injun Joe:
Injun Joe is a murderer and a thief and makes Twain's Huck (who had witnessed one of his killings) swear a blood oath that he will never tell anyone about his crimes, so this would be a rather dark and twisted line. I’d love an ‘Injun Joe’ who maybe deals with drugs or a pimp trying to cast Huck for his club. This line can take as many dark turns as we want (I heart psychos, so please let your imagination go wild) – or it could be a simple love/hate, lovers/enemies line.
The Widow(er) Douglas:
In Twain’s book, Huck is placed under the guardianship of the Widow Douglas and her sister, Miss Watson, who – together – attempt to ‘civilize’ him, so I would love to find an older male to fill this spot. Huck will definitely give the Widower a hard time civilizing him and he will probably steal and sell some of his private belongings to help his real friends.
I would also love a line against one of Huck’s ‘victims’ – a male who thinks Huck is a rent boy. Doing his usual routine, they start to make-out in the ‘John’s car (a chance Huck always uses to get his hands on the other guy’s purse, steal it and run away before anything could happen). Unfortunately, your guy is smarter and realizes what the street boy is up to…

| The year is 2020. In New York City.
The Royals of the Vampire world made an agreement with the Human's Government. They would assist and help in any way they could and stop killing them, in exchange for blood donations from hospitals or actual human donors. The werewolves revealed themselves a few months later to offer their allegiance to the humans to provide them with protection from any rogue vampires, as long as humans promised not to hunt them.
It has been five years. It hasn't gone off perfectly, but most humans have grown to accept that Supernaturals are apart of their every day lives. Vampires and Werewolves are openly involved in markets and commerce. And there is an expanded open subculture of the socialization between humans and werewolves.
The Red Hart Club is a Supernatural Bar, though Humans are allowed as guests to regular customers. It is owned by Benedikt, one of the Vampire Royals of New York State. All blood types are available served straight or mixed with anything from the full stock of liquor. The hours of operation are from sundown to three a.m. There is often life entertainment for customer's listening pleasure, with a dance floor surrounding the stage. On those nights there is a cover charge. Human minors are absolutely not allowed in the Club. The police will be called on anyone caught feeding on a humans on the premises. The Bartenders are friendly, and will always be there to show you a toothy smile.
