The Silver Age: OOC

Hello frands! It is I, Jenni, the invisible admin-y mod. A few things:

1. We've had a couple of losses and additions, so hit up the f-list button!

2. I've stared at the coding for so long my eyes started to cross, so we'd really appreciate it if you could take a look at the taken list and the contact list to make sure everything's where it should be/all your details are up to date. (Will do up some graphics for the taken v. soon!)

3. Tagging your entries! A general reminder for the !log and !narrative tags in the main comm, one of which should always be attached to your post. Your characters are always tagged with their first and last names, with a few exceptions - Logan, The Tardis, Joshua, etc. Please let me know if you would like these characters to be known as something else.

4. On a more personal note, I have been mad fail with activity lately, for which I apologise! Work and preparation for my trip overseas has taken over my life. I've just picked up Xavier as an NPC though, so if anyone would like a little tête-à-tête with him or Rex Racer, let me know! There's two weeks before I have to skedaddle :)

-- Activity Check notices have been sent out. If you didn't get one, yay! If you did get one, please get back to us within the week as to whether or not you'll be keeping your characters!

-- On the subject of activity checks, we're going to ask that everyone be extra vigilant about tagging their logs with their characters names in

silverage, since that's how we keep track of activity. If your character doesn't have a tag, please let either Jenni or I know and we'll make you one!

-- Also, for the OOC com, we're going to implement a brand new shiny !hiatus tag so that when you're posting your absences (which is totally helpful, thank you!) we can just click it and see who shouldn't be getting warning notes. I'm positive I made a few mistakes this time around, but that should help for the next check.

-- PLOT ALERT! Jadis, aka the White Witch (played by Kim) is going to be giving us a little summertime blizzard later this week that will last for about a week, so be on the lookout for that. Kim will be posting something around Wednesday or Thursday. I hope everyone has their winter wear ready. After this we'll probably have a few weeks of just regular gameplay.

-- PLOT ALERT II! Thats said, I have two more week long plot/game event type things stored in the back of my mind to pull out for later use, but we do love player ideas! You can feel free to submit any gamewide plot things you might have into our dropbox. These can even be player challenge ideas (you know, ye olde song lyric logs game, random pairing logs, etc.) if you'd like. We're open to your suggestions.

-- Yaaaaaay, new characters! If any of you want our advertising code for any posting reasons so we can get even MORE players, feel free to ask. In the meantime, hit the button!

And now that it's not 12:15am, a more official kind of post...

So, the game is, obviously, officially open now, and Jenni and I invite you to start posting open logs, narratives, and journal entries for responses (journals do work, remember! I'll be doing just that in a few moments, but wanted to just note a few things first...

• I'm about to add this to our Welcome To The 1960s page, but here, have a handy Inflation Calculator.

• We've still got some OOC intros trickling in, so everyone remember to say hello!

• The newspaper thing is something I'm going to try and do weekly to sum up at least some of game play and to potentially intro gamewide plots. Please use our handy drop box if there is something you'd like featured or you've written an article you want to include.

That's about it for now-- there may or may not be an inordinate amount of modly OOC posts this week as we accept the last few apps in our queue and get things rolling, so I apologise in advance for a slight flooding that you may or may not see.
