Serenity
Lucius pressed his hands to the desk and leant forwards, breathing in the scent that was all Severus. This was how he liked him best: silent, head bent low, intent on making red scratches on sundry bits of parchment. He didn’t care what they were, whether they were owl order bills or students’ essays. He just liked to see the bared stretch of neck and the animated hands at work.
He sniffed again, a gentle sort of sniff that was meant not to intrude. Not that Severus would acknowledge it or him until the last scratch was underlined twice. And Lucius liked it that way – they both did. There was something ordered about their interactions, something controlled and restrained to the point of frenzy.
Satisfied that all was as expected, Lucius shed his scarf and cloak onto the floor and skirted the desk. Holding his hands where Severus could see them, he slowly pulled on one tight, black glove, finger by finger, smoothing the satin over his palm.
Normally he would wander around the classroom, keeping Severus as his axle, his centre. Every touch to a desk, a bottle, or a cauldron would be punctuated by a glance at the bent head and the bare neck. Likewise, Severus would watch his circuit out of the corner of his eye.
Not tonight. Tonight Lucius stayed close to the desk, working his fingers into the black satin gloves.
If Severus noted the change in routine, he made no sign, except a twitch of a shoulder perhaps, but nothing less forgivable.
When he was certain no crease marred the sheen of his gloves, Lucius stepped around to stand behind Severus.
He paused for a moment, the sight of pale skin behind a thin veil of black too enticing to be hurried. Or to be ignored. He again dipped his head and breathed in the thrilling scents that had surrounded Severus ever since Lucius had known him. Not that he had taken much notice at first, thinking the thin frame unworthy of pleasure. Not now, though.
Straightening, Lucius steadied his breathing and tipped his head back. Then, peering through lidded eyes, he touched the black satin to skin.
Indeed, now Severus’ body was more than worthy of Lucius’ hands.
“Master!”
The End
