Johns had the idea for the emotional spectrum and the Blackest Night while writing Green Lantern: Rebirth, which was published December 2004. The first appearance of the Marvel Zombies were in Ultimate Fantastic Four, September 2005.

Beyond the basic idea of OMG ZOMBIES, there isn't much similar between the two, whereas Necrosha is so similar to Blackest Night it's not funny. Just sayin'.

	I've heard this claim before, but I don't buy it. Take BLACKEST NIGHT out of the equation... would you say NECROSHA is similar to MARVEL ZOMBIES? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	no. Marvel Zombies is a gorefest with no overreaching plot. THe zombies have no goal except eat. This has a battle plan and a plot (Reply to this) (Parent)
