Pietro always pinged my gaydar, probably because he and Wanda both seemed so fascinated with Cap.But, back then, they needed to put a permanent (or so it seemed at the time) roadblock between Johnny and Crystal, and Pietro was 'available'. Of course, Pietro being out of the way let Wanda pursue her Vision, which is either good or bad depending upon your point of view. I always wondered whether Northstar and Aurora weren't an attempt at redoing the first set of twins.

I've always thought of Northstar as a gayer, saner Canadian version of Quicksilver so I think there is some merit to this idea (which is why I love them both). Because the similarities between the two sets of twins can't be coincidental (I mean, come on. Assholish super speedsters with fraternal twin sisters aren't a dime a dozen).

	Marvel speedsters are all kind of assholish, sort of a side effect of dealing witha world way too slow for them. Plus Northstar and Aurora were originally created as one shot characters soi they were only given a couple generic, or rather steriotypical, character traits that were later built on.
