This is simply pathetic to say, but I actually was very very sad at the end of this issue because I'm sure it means I won't get to write Dinah again for a while.

Love Dinah, and LOVE Diana and Dinah together. One of my favorite character combos in comics that I've been lucky enough to write. Catman and Deadshot, Bane and Scandal, Giganta and Atom, Deadpool and Outlaw, and DEFINITELY Diana and Dinah.

I love it when Gail takes a poke at popular culture, particularly comic culture, with their action figures that look nothing like the characters (yes, anime WW I'm looking at you). Reminds me of the Hollywood issues of WW. It's as close as you can really come in a WW comic of breaking the fourth wall and it's the perfect character to do it with since if Diana really existed (as she does in the DCU) her face and likeness would be everywhere - with or without her permission.

And as for Dinah, beyond superficial looks this appears to be an entirely different person than in BC/GA. Other than Bedard in BoP and sometimes McDuffie in JLA it's difficult to find writers who continue to portray BC as well (or with the same "voice") as Gail did. I'll be sad when this arc is over.

Hm, just a few things...

It's just "Ginza" not "the Ginza" (maybe that's a joke?). There are no toy shops in Ginza, but I'm hoping they took the subway. That hipster boy would be getting some dirty looks because it's illegal to smoke and walk at the same time in Ginza (reminders are even spray painted on the sidewalks). The ramen bowls are too small...should be about the size of their heads. They have nothing to drink, which is weird because tea is automatic and free. If you are just one or two people in a ramen shop in Ginza, you will sit with others at a table. They don't waste space. Otherwise, not so bad in the culture depicting department.

The art is really nice too and the dialouge is decent. Good stuff.

The really funny thing is that isn't nearly as bad as the more recent Ame-Comi statue. Fun times, though. Reminds me of when Dinah bought out the whole lot of JLI-costume figures in Bird 88!

"Kindest" possible interpretation of people's actions? I don't know, I don't see what's kind or nice about it. What am I missing?

Besides, this interpretation doesn't necessarily contradicts Diana's. Different cultures emphasize different traits in one same character/story, according to what resonates most to them.

That was a good issue and I like how the fight ended up being handled, now just slightly more eager to see what plays out along the line.

Also, I probably shouldn't have but I kind of lol'd at the end... Just a little and after the 'whut' reaction died down.

I'm tired of Wonder Woman/Black Canary friendship. I want to see WOnder Woman be friends with someone else, like Vixen, or maybe Elastigirl from Doom Patrol.
