Second scan, Panel 1: Has the artist forgotten what Flash's mask looks like? Because aside from the wingtips, I recognize none of that strange gold stuff on this head, or do I figure where that would go on his face.

Yeah, the artist was probably thinking of us, and trying a little too hard to show them being manly and hetero and all that stuff.

And in the next panel we get a perfect shot of Dick's perfect ass.

It would be interesting, considering Wally's mentor he replaced is back and Dick's mentor just died. Wally should be one of the first people Dick called, really.

I love everything about hte art except for the faces. They look identical, blurry, vaguely South-East Asian and frankly unattractive.

(the last two are mutually exclusive traits)

Yeah, that's the same problem I've always had with Rags Morales. It really detracts, too, because I love Tomasi's writing, especially all the Dick + friends scenes in his Nightwing run, but nice moments like thee should be enhanced rather than stilted by the facial expressions.

The "To Bart" panel really does not look like a dude thinking about a lost friend, and it's an incredibly jarring dissonance. Having to see it twice only makes it worse.

Ooh, thanks for this. Helped make my reasons to pick up the trade of this even stronger than it was becoming already.

I'm planning to post some of this arc - in which Tim and Dick are so very snarky with each other in a fabulously brotherly way - soon myself.
