While the Watchmen parody is great in itself, what I find even funnier is the image of Lex Luthor crying as he eats pork and beans right out of the can.

It's a Mr. Mxyzptlk story, which (post-Crisis) are often *both* Homages and Parodies.

I just realized that I read this comic when it came out, before I'd ever heard of Watchmen.
