A Small Measure Of Non-Visceral Victory
so, ultimatum.

bad stuff happened.



yup, he almost did more than pop Doc Strange's head.

but how'd he get there in the first place?

it all starts with the ultimatum wave.... and, you know, johnny storm having that " DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR LIFE " talk with his dad.

then the wave hits, Johnny's dad's dead (among others), and Johnny's left to have a moment of angst:




the one who set this little trick up?




hmm. ultimate dormammu seems neat: sure, he needs a flaming dude to escape where he is, but he's got the flaming head and he's a demonic fellow and that's what counts.

and if the statue's any indication, he has a weird sense of humor.

so, anyhow, he pops into our world and pops off doctor strange's head. strange, notably, in response to johnny's " GET HELP, HE'S DRAINING POWER FROM ME " is all " oh, don't worry, there's a spell for this... there has to be. "

luckily for all that is, though, Sue's been tracking the missing Johnny using nanobots Reed put in him; upon finding out he's been bamf'd back into the real world, she and Ben go off to find him.

and have to contend with Dormammu and his demons.

The demons aren't so much trouble, and Dormammu...



... but he's magic. he's drawing power from johnny, but that doesn't mean the power has to express itself like normal fire when he channels it... does it? eh.

also, someone should totally've pulled that on him by now.



... well, THAT's different.

but hey, atleast he didn't explode.

also, ben, you probably shouldn't hold his head like that.
