Blackest Night Teaser!
DC's blog The Source has released a spoiler image for some undisclosed upcoming Blackest Night book.

Does this mean that R.E.B.E.L.S. is getting involved, or could this be the start of something more sinister? Like time traveling Black Lantern Legionnaires?

...It's still not Black Lantern Ted, though.

Could definitely be R.E.B.E.L.S., but you can get the Legion involved without specifically invoking time travel--DC has often had big crossovers have repercussions 1000 years later (like having the 851st century Legion show up when everybody else was dealing with the 841st during 1 Million, or by having a few surviving Manhunters show up during Millenium).

Say Brainy finds a long-lost but functional Black Lantern ring--never mind how it's functional, it just is. I don't know about the newest incarnation, but plenty of previous versions have certainly had dead folks they wanted back. Even if that's not how the rings are supposed to work, just put it in Brainy's hands for fun.

	No obvious tie ins to the future in the list of titles. Perhaps Sodam Yat had one of these rings lying around, now that he's active in the future again (and is the only color around, I think)? (Reply to this)

R.E.B.E.L.S. was confirmed to be tying into Blackest Night during SDCC. I assume this is a relevant cover.

(On a side note, the people doing covers for Blackest Night have consistently been doing a good job, IMHO.)

Like time traveling Black Lantern Legionnaires?

If Ambush Bug 6 ever comes out, I sort of hope that it is edited to include a panel of Black Lantern Karate Kid kicking Keith Giffen in the face.

(If Giffen is reading this, I'm only asking for it because it would be funny on multiple levels.)

	Oh, he's not dead. But he has the arrogant brilliance that all members of the Brainiac line possess, therefore he's going to try & capture it, study it & use it to further his own ends.
