Hey, guess what one of James Robinson's fantasies is?
Cry for Justice a Threesome! BoP fans get ready.

From DC's The Source

WTF? At one point I was actually excited for this book. Stop messing with my BoP, sir.

I kinda like this. Makes Hal less "holier than thou". Mind you, never having read BoP I can't judge whether this would be extremely OOC for Huntress and Lady Blackhawk >_>

It's horrifically OOC for Helena. The whole point of Josh, this creepy loser she had a one-night stand with, was for her to learn that she was better then that, that she could do what she wanted, that she wasn't just "a notch on some guys vagina scoreboard".

Though she did have a "one Nightwing stand" with Dick too.

That was pre-Birds, though.

And you'd have to be CRAZY to reject Dick!

Well played, sir.

And according to Roy, he and she had a thing once.

Again, pre-Josh.

Also according to an entire Huntress miniseries by, you guessed it, Devin Grayson (Who apparently had Dick attracted to Helena because she was so like Bruce...) IIRC Dick wanted to keep the relationship going (since, contrary to Bruce Jones and whatsisname who wrote the NW Annual, Dick is NOT a one night stand kind of guy), Helena told him "No".

I think Dick never wanted to keep the relationship going.

IIRC he approaches her assuming that she wants to keep it going, and she says no.

I could see Dick wanting to see where it might go. Although I'm sure he has a healthy libido, I think he likes the idea of being with someone and having more than just a physical relationship with them.

The jarring thing about Dick sleeping with Babs in the NW Annual 2 wasn't that it was a one night stand, but rather that he would have sex with her while he had an invitation to his wedding to give her in his pocket. I'm willing to give Andreyko the benefit of the doubt and guess that sex with Babs wouldn't necessarily count as a one-night stand, no strings attached, no emotional involvement thing. The deception is a lot harder to stomach.

IIRC, Devin Grayson also wrote that Dick was attracted to Helena because he felt that she might need him/someone. Neither of which is necessarily the 'correct' interpretation.

Not knowing too much canon for Huntress I still have one question. If she now knows "that she could do what she wanted" then wouldn't one of the perks of being a fully grown individual at peace with your sexuality allow the possibility of a night like this. This isn't some creepy loser. This is a fellow hero.

Note that Im not saying you are wrong and that you are more informed on the character than I am but it just seems odd considering the "Josh Incident" you referenced.

The thing is, she doesn't get a night like this. This isn't about her at all. This is all about what a stud Green Lantern is, hooking up with two babes at once. It would be one thing if we saw it from her POV, it's quite another to have Hal's BF talking about his vagina scoreboard*.

*damn it, Simone, I'm never going to forget that.

It's SO good. My first response was to online and yell at my friends on Gaia for not introducing me to it before, and one of them said "You have to experience it yourself"

Ok, so you are not mad that she had the fling but that they are bragging about it. But youre not mad at the writer right since this is pretty in character for the both of them, right? You're just upset that Hal and Ollie are sexist. Understandable, but I think it makes them more interesting, if flawed, characters.

Robinson's only using Helena to prove what a stud Hal is, disregarding previous stories that very clearly contradicted this. That's what bothers me.

I know it sounds a bit mean, but isn't that very common? Lesser known/famous characters being used to support the actions of more well-known and established characters? It's obviously kinda hard to swallow for Huntress and Lady Black Hawk fans, but how many of them are there compared with the fans of Green Lantern/Hal?

Yeah, but in itself it's mostly fair. Most characters, no matter how well established, have been ridiculed in a OOC manner during a time to show how cool/badass/smart another character is. In DC I'd basically only exclude Batman and Superman from this, and even here I'm not 100% sure.

I'm not sure what you mean. What about Hal could be changed by having a 3-way?
