Is the whole issue like this? Ick.

Not that it isn't interesting to see these pencils(though they're so tight there's really not that much that we don't see in the inks), but, this "pop-up" commentary is not very interesting. There's something weird about doing that with something that's still more or less current. That bit about the contrast between Barry's and Hal's deaths? No, REALLY, Johns? Wow, I'd have never gotten that out of the fact you said it straight out in the dialogue. I am not sure how much use such things are with Johns anyway, given his habit of having dialogue like characterization talking points quite often. There's nothing mysterious about what he means. He repeats it over and over. So why commentary?

	this "pop-up" commentary is not very interesting. Pretty much. Their hands seem too tied by not being able to reveal anything about the storyline. Other than the Atom thing, this is stuff we all already knew. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
