This is intended to bait-and-switch fan hopes for reconciliation, pander to guys who want Peter laid regardless, but probably to disappoint both. It's pretty obvious to me that the only possible eventually ending to the BND plot is a great, sweeping love story wherein Peter and MJ's Twu Wuv breaks the power of the Devil to bring them back together. All "OMG Peter cheated on MJ!!!" are fakeout plots designed to get fans talking and promoting. Please note, for all S_D He Who Must Not Be Posted bashing, sales on X Factor went up. Pissing off fans is a perfectly legitimate way to get publicity. You might enjoy the fanrage for its own sake. ::shrug::

This is super hero comics. They MUST do bad things to the hero. This is just another Dark Night before Spidey's dawn.
