Continuing from when the preview left off...

The All-American Kid gets possessed by something.

Disappointing; I was mainly interested in how Willingham would write Obsidian, and he spends the first issue as a black egg. :/

	Uhm, did I miss an issue where Al got kicked off the team again? Because he's Todd's oldest friend still alive, so why isn't he there to say anything? Otoh, Maxine's babble in the preview was kind of funny, in the "please, shoot me now" way she has of blurting out every stray thought. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Yeah, that's good work by the artist. But so far, the scans aren't making me happy. I'll give Willingham three issues, but I dumped FABLES when he had that revelation about Frau Totenkinder, and had only added the book to my pull list a few months before that. 	I'm really not thrilled by the art, Cyclone's poor face, I don't know what happened to her eyes and her freckels have basically vanished :( Also, not thrilled with the writing, which is lame, because I do love Fables, but this is just not a good start. It's starting to appear that me thinking I don't like Willingham writing superhero comics was right (Reply to this) (Parent)
