First time poster, so if I'm doing anything wrong please let me know. :)

Spoilers for Blackest Night #1.

Hawkman and Hawkgirl are discussing their ~destined~ relationship and Hawkgirl's refusal of it when, well, this happens:

I just had a thought. Each ring seems to share a power source. Because two Black Lanterns kill two people and instead of each one going up to .01% they both reach .02%.

I bet when they reach 100% the Black Lantern comes to life. And who knows maybe whoever puts on his ring will come back to life.

I think that all of it is being used to ubercharge something really big, like each time one of the BL's kill someone the power goes up by .01 percent, and when it reaches 100 (Which will take millions of deaths BTW), then it will allow the big bad (who I am STILL banking on being Nekron) to do...whatever the hell they intend to do.

It could also be the percentage of people that are dead in the universe. 100% being everyone so "the universe can be at peace".

Well, according to Geoff-math, anyway.

Those two are a much smaller percent of the universe's(even the world's) population than that, so I'd say that it is all going to the "full charge." And isn't it sad a whole human life only amounts to that much.

If you've read the old TALES OF THE GLC miniseries, and I am quite sure Johns not only has but probably read it when he was as old as I was, the chances of this being Nekron are...pretty damn high. He was kind of up to this the last time, trying to open a portal from his world of death.

What I find interesting is, far from being emotionless, the BLs are vengeful and mean. Seems to me there's a possible link with the Reds, at the least of course because the Reds kill and kill. But also that red is a dim color on the spectrum.
