Cat/Bat - Superdictionary Style!
I have this thing where I sometimes read the Superdictionary as if it had a plot. This is the story of Catwoman and how she interacts with the Bats. (I must note that I am omitting a bunch of other Catwoman entries, but perhaps that's another story for another time.)

Catwoman tries to make friends with Batgirl and Robin, but this doesn't exactly go according to plan...

Gosh, Babs, do you always micromanage this much when you're inexplicably flying?

Now, now, Dick. If you're going to start creating elaborate traps for people, I expect you to grow an evil moustache so that you can twirl it, evilly. But not all those who wander are lost! Trufax.

Clearly Catwoman has more important things to worry about than flying Batgirls and Robindickery.

But at least she has her cats! Her ferocious, hungry cats.

Now, how are she and Batman getting along?

D: Not so great, actually.

Throwing things at Batman is a bit of a trend, it would seem.

Batman, she really doesn't want to go with you! I guess the milk bottle and the plates being thrown at you didn't give you the hint. (I actually find this entry somewhat disturbing.) But really, who could blame her...

...when Batman does frustratingly bizarre and inexplicable things such as this? Perhaps this is just his way of letting her know he's upset that she broke all of the plates. "If tables are for eating on, then where are the plates, Selina? Where are the plates?!" Not always the best communicator, that Batman.

(My apologies for the crooked scans.)

Any other version wouldn't be insane enough.

Oh, come on. Not even the one where she wears a realistic cat's head mask, or the one where she's basically dressed from head to toe in green chainmail, or any number of other, equally bizarre costumes? When it comes to long-lasting, classic characters, Catwoman's been through more costumes than just about any of them.

The only thing remotely cat-like about this is the tail. It would be like if she wore the catmask and called herself Lady Pirate. Or dressed in chainmail and . . . well, actually, just chainmail. Nothing but chainmail. Bet that would chafe like a bitch.

If you ask me, the chainmail one is actually weirder. because at least this one does HAVE the tail as a nod to her catlike nature - the chainmail one has NOTHING to do with cats. Nothing at all. It's not even in a catlike color.
