Legends of the Bat-Mite
For some humpday laughs...
I *died* when I saw this clip.
This will be airing Friday on Batman: The Brave and the Bold

Paul Dini posted it on his Twitter account http://twitter.com/Paul_Dini

I love love love the "THAT'S NOT MY BATMAN!" fan and the Paul Dini Harley and Bruce Timm Joker. I laugh so hard it hurts.

And here's the deets from http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0905/18/index.htm

Warner Bros. Animation has released a description, 44 images and three clips from "Legends of the Dark Mite!," the Friday, May 29 episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold
"Batman's biggest fan, Bat-Mite, is also his biggest nightmare when the 5th dimensional imp pops up and in an effort to make Batman a better hero, throws Gotham City into chaos. Kidnapping the Dark Knight and traveling to the surreal 5th dimension, the adventure continues with references to many of the classic villains."
The episode was written by Paul Dini and directed by Ben Jones.
The voice cast includes Diedrich Bader as Batman, Paul Reubens as Bat-Mite Dee Bradley Baker as Bathound, Jim Piddock as Calendar Man/Calendar King and Tom Wilson as Catman.

For more laughs from Cable and Deadpool #31 (I think...)

Deadpool burrows into Big Bertha's fleshy womb (sounds dirty no matter what way you look at it)

Which is awesome.

Scary psycho Miller Goddamn Batman could not have handled Bat-Mite as effectively. B&BTV Batman knows how to deal with the interdimensional Fanboy!

Don't you think Bat-Mite's house would have talking chairs and telephones a la Pee-Wee's? There's a connection there somewhere....

Oh gah, I can pretty much ship DP with anyone - man, woman... whatever.

But I'm kinda also really liking him with Outlaw. :-D She's a fan of grabbing his butt... which I think I would be, too...

Larry's basically a Bat-Mite knockoff, though. (though I heard of Larry first, since I got into comics through that cartoon)

Yes, but Larry was on Teen Titans, Bat-Mite is on Batman and the Brave and the Bold, ergo, Larry is my favorite. :)

I love it. (Both, actually, the clip ("meh.") and Wade. "Lady Volstagg", heh.)

Those looking for a more classic Batman, or at least Hamill's classic Joker, would be well-advised to check out the console/computer game BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM coming out next month. I saw the demo being played at a store recently and it had lines like:

"The one who kills Batman gets a night with Harley! Maybe I should tell her first... nah, it'll be more fun if it's a surprise."

"Come on, he's just one man! One man dressed like a lunatic and armed to the teeth."

Jedis & Jokers
[info]tacobob

Speaking of Mark..It's kinda funny..The last three people to voice the Joker in an animated series have played (or voiced) Jedis in Star Wars movies or video games. Mark Hamill ofcourse was Luke.

The actor who voice the Joker in "The Batman" was Kevin Michael Richardson who supplied the voice for Jedi Jolee Bindo in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, along with a few other Jedis for other Star Wars Games.

Jeff Bennett supplies the voice for the Joker in "Batman: The Brave & The Bold) and he was also the voice for Kyle Katarn in two other Star Wars video games.

Eh, not so much. Voice acting is a pretty small and incestuous biz, and now that Star Wars and Batman both have significant game lines (and we're in firmly in the "talkie" phase of the former), there's going to be a natural amount of crossover.

Check out Tom Kane's resume sometime: kindly Professor Utonium, various Dark Jedi mooks and Jedi Masters, including Yoda (among many others).

Awesome, can't wait for this fourth wall smashing episode, Paul Dini knows how to make awesome references. Last week's episode featuring Robin was awesome too, they actually *gasp* made Crazy Quilt a threatening villain!

Now that I think about it, is the "HOW DARE YOU" a reference to "Rocko's Modern Life"? It's gotta be.

Also: I don't know if it's just my computer, but for me the audio's messed up on all the "Brave & The Bold" preview clips, and it just sounds sort of like Donald Duck or something.
