I only ever heard 'yur-AY-nus' up until eigth grade or so. Everyone around here pronounces it that way, but that may be because most people here are dirty hicks. No one really laughs when you say it anymore, because we all got used to it years ago. It always kind of stands out when people say 'YUR-ehn-us', like they're intentionally changing it to avoid snickers. Which they are, of course, but...yeah.

I think I've only ever heard it pronounced "yur-AY-nus" or "YUR-AY-nus".

Yeah...I mean, it's either that ('your anus') or 'YUR-eh-nus', which actually sounds a lot like 'urine-us'....
