Everyone. May I have your attention. We have a Thunder God.
Alright, everyone... deep breaths before you argue aye or nay.

Let's play nice... and remember that Vladimir Kulich was BORN to be the Odinson. Alas, he's too old now, but he may make a awesome Odin.

IGN has the scoop on who is cast as the wielder of Mjolnir

Captain Kirk's father.. well, the young actor who played him, is Thor, God of Thunder for the Marvel movie.
Chris Hemsworth

The young Aussie actor has the potential.. I liked and believed him in the recent Star Trek movie, and he has that face that made me think I had seen him before. But he NEEDS to bulk up. He has to look like he can tango and be a match for either of the movie Hulks.

Back to what a hundreds of years old Thunder God should look like in real life.
I hope they took notes and look at Vladimir's 13th Warrior work for notes.

Should have been... alas... maybe in an alternate universe, they got it right.

For legality:

In THIS picture, yeah, I can see Chris as Thor.

*edit* My bad about the link. fixed!

I've had such an embarassing crush on that guy since he was on "Home and Away", an Aussie soap import to the UK. His acting wasn't bad (But since it was Kenneth Branagh who finally cast him, he may have as yet untapped reserves of acting skill), but ye gods he was just so damned pretty!

I agree with someone whose noted he might have been a more obvious choice for Captain America (Look, if you buggers can make Kevin sodding Costner Robin Hood, then a Brit Director can cast an Australian as one of YOUR folk heroes)

I have a friend who is obsessed with the idea that Bradley James (Prince Arthur from Merlin) would make a brilliant Cap. I'm inclined to agree.
Let's have a Brit playing Captain America
('unlike other Robin Hoods, I can do it with an English accent!')

Oh, and pretties. Thos hipbones!

I've thought at times that Mark Valley would visually at least make a fantastic Cap. Too bad that he's too old for the part.

I watched Home & Away for YEARS, and I do not remember him at all. But I LOVE the idea that Thor was on that show. LOVE IT.

He played Kim, the son of the headmaster at the local school.
