I decided I would once again post pages from LAST LAUGH #6, which has the Joker's best line.

Nightwing confronts the Joker and various "Jokerized" super-villains in Gotham Cathedral.

Keep in mind, Nightwing thinks Robin is dead. He's not, but everyone thinks he is. Even Batman. Whoops.

"Stop! Stop! He's already dead!"

Well, that's relief. Also, Nightwing was "hyped up" by Rancor, a new character who could boost the regular anger of other people into homicidal rage.

"...The real fun ain't over by a longshot!"

Shilo Norman is writing about what to do with the Joker now that the Slab has been moved to Antarctica.

Anyone know the details about what the Joker is singing?

Some fans have used the final panel of Barbara Gordon as an icon.

Google search on that lyric turned up a bluegrass song...

http://www.traditionalmusic.co.uk/bluegrass-lyrics/Life_is_like_a_mountain_railroad.html

and several other variations. I can't tell what it started out as, but there's the aforementioned bluegrass version, its listed on a few Christian music sites, and apparently Patsy Cline covered it.

Yeah, I prefer lines like that because they show how the Joker will take pain, he'll take torture, he'll take humiliation, as long as it's for a joke.

Wait, what? How is Mr. Miracle's apprentice connected to the Joker? And how did I miss that?

He was the security chief at the Slab, and warden by the end of Last Laugh.

See, this is why any Mr. Miracle is shit without Barda. Because Barda's escape-proof prison for the Joker would be "Break his bones. He can't escape with broken bones."

There is nothing in your comment that I do not completely agree with.

Also love the scene with Dick and the Joker. It is truly excellent.

Batman's all, "Let him go, he has to face what he's done!" Because clearly what he needs now is punishment and isolation, not our understanding and forgiveness!"

Batman says "Angst and beat yourself up!" and Dick says, "How long?"

OHMIGOD. It just hit me. Joker knows about the 4th wall.

4th image, 6th panel. it's not the Almighty he is looking at. it's us. The Reader.

I just had a horrifyingly awesome scenario of Deadpool meeting the Joker...

So, this guy is Gotham's Preimer sadist who slaughtered hundreds of people like cattle, crippled the woman Dick loved and has ostensibly murdered his two little brothers. And he's supposed to alienate himself form everyone he loves for months and kill himself angsting because he almost killed him?

Um, that does not work on any level, sorry.

So of course they had to repeat the same scenario with Blockbuster. *headdesk*

Gawd I hate this storyline. And it didn't even have any Thank-God-You're-Alive Bat-cuddles either! Unforgivable!
