MONSTER PLANET

From Charles Nicholas and Sal Trapani comes this offbeat little sci-fi tale that all but screams "filler material" at you. Obviously done without too much forethought, it's still amusing in it's own quirky way.

We define a single work as an issue or a story within an issue.

In regards to anthologies, graphic novels, manga and pamphlets with backup stories, do not exceed 1/3 of the total page count.

That means that no complete story may be posted, even if the story is within a larger book.

This is all from the link you referenced for me:
SCHMEVIL: "We're leaning towards allowing a lot more from older works."
" The flexibility with regard to older material has more to do with the likelihood of it sparking a challenge."
"If you go over a third on a never-reprinted issue we won't freak out. :)"

Anyhoo... I read thru the whole topic, and I'm still not sure what I did wrong.
Charlton is a now-defunct publisher with many, many stories now legally classified as orphaned works.
I posted this and many other stories from bankrupted publishers of the past in an attempt to encourage younger readers to explore the history of American comics and discuss the nuances of golden-age and silver-age writing styles.
I meant no harm, and I still feel that I'm being singled out unfairly, as I can scroll down the current front page of S_D and find three complete short stories, only one of which was posted by me.

Long story short: We need clarity on this topic once and for all.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

The mods have been discussing the posting guidelines, and it has now been clarified to say:

No more than one third the length of any single work should be posted on this community. In layman's terms, work refers to a story or chapter within a single issue or book. That's 7 pages of a standard American comic, by the by. In regards to anthologies, graphic novels, manga and pamphlets with backup stories, do not exceed 1/3 of the total page count of individual stories. Exceptions will by made at the discretion of the moderators.

I will get back to you on the rest of the matter. Thanks for your patience.

I was going to ask where S_D stands on legitimately public domain works.

Are we saying ABSOLUTELY no complete works, or is public domain still cool?
