Batman Strikes! Joker and Harley action...
Continuing on with the love...

This time with Conan O'Brien LOOKALIKE!!!
From Batman Strikes! #35... Joker takes over pseudo Conan O'Brien's show after "Corwin O'Dooley" declares himself the funniest man in Gotham.

Even though they don't look the *same* as regular DCAU Joker and Harley, they still have the same personalities. Tho, I must say, I adore Batman Strikes! Harley like nobody's bizness. (And her costume! Homina homina!)

Oh poor Conan... err, I mean Corwin.

The relationship between Joker and Harley in this world seems to be a bit more egalitaria.

And that's why you should be reading The Batman Strikes! :-D

I've never seen The Batman series, so just out of curiosity, was it (and its comic-book adaptations like this one) subject to the same "no killing" rule as BTAS was, at least initially?

Also, LOL @"stupid hostage tricks."

Yes, technically being a kids' show, at least from what I saw and have read in the comics. They certainly *tried* to kill, tho, both Bat-team members and regular civilians. (And I'm pretty sure in the ep Two of a Kind, Joker killed some squirrels. Poor, poor squirrels.)

However, this Joker did do some very dastardly things (frex torturing cop Ethan Bennett and turning him into Clayface, also bringing Harley into the villain fold)

Hmm, this wasn't so bad. I hated this Joker's weird reggae design, but whatever.

I really didnt mind the hair... though I kinda wished he stuck to the Straightjacket look from his first appearance instead of falling back to the purple suit.

I admit I was pretty well turned off by The Batman's ugly character designs. The Joker looked like something an unusually talented Juggalo might come up with.

Why does Batman have a sonic screwdriver?

BATMAN IS A TIME LORD.
