Its not even really that big a deal. Honest. But for some reason, it really bugs me.

So the issue ends with the new Azrael having snuck into the Batcave a second time in recent history (boy, they've really got to get better security on this place) and encountering Nightwing.

Look at it!! He %&#$ed up Dick's costume!! I know, I know, its not a terrible deal, but the artist on this title (Frazer Irving) has cranked out some kinda wonky art, and this is just....guh! The costume is known for its simplicity, so why did he mess up the finger things?

There, I vented. I'll go back to not really worrying about what happens in a title that'll likely be rendered obsolete in a few months. That said, I'm digging the story so far.

Edit. I was showing the horrible art to a friend of mine, and I realized that he messed it up in issue #1 too! 	Not sure I see it as that big a deal, he simply doesn't have the stripe continuing across Dick's back and made it more grey instead of blue (Which could be down to lighting in the cave) There have been a lot of variant stylings on Dick's costume, from what sort of gloves he wore to the depth of the V on his chest. 	The stripe isn't on the right fingers. It should cover his middle and ring fingers. Not that, you know, I'm fixated on the stripe and Dick's fingers at all. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Don't misunderstand me. By all rights, Nightwing ought to mop the floor with the guy with both hands behind his back. But Nightwing is pretty much the Batclan's Worf. To establish a villain's cred, they go throught Nightwing with ease that defies logical story telling. Ain't fond of it neithers, I'm just sayin'. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Sometimes artist's make little tweaks to costumes. I haven't read these issues, but it's consistent in the examples you've shown, so I'm guessing he simply likes it better that way? It's a very minor detail to fuss over, considering what else is out there, being labeled "art". I thought the clear colour divide on the hand in the first image looked rather striking.

Frazer Irving's gloomy and... peculiar art style is certainly not suited for every title and every taste, but generally, I'd count him among the good comic book artists. His Klarion, for example, was excellent.

	Yeah, Azrael's costume does look pretty bizarre here, like the top half is a superhero costume and the bottom half is just some boots and painters pants. He's always had a flaming sword in one capacity or another though. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Never, ever just you. The outside fingers thing looks ridiculous. it doesn't follow the line of his arm at all, especially when you strip the color off the back of his costume (also massive fail), which is demonstrated perfectly in that splash (look at how awkwardly the blue twists diagonally around his arm to get to the pinky like that). The variable cuff color, okay, whatever, but how do you mess up the stripe? That's all there is!

	ARGH! The ... wrong ... fingers. Damn it! That was, yes, the very first thing I noticed once I clicked the cut. It looks like someone twisted his arm round. Or he put on his costume in one hell of a hurry. Oh, that's annoying! (Reply to this)
