Nice Easterly cover.

I've got a Dell Comics Easter Bunny story to post, myself.
With art by Walt Kelly (maybe you've heard of him?).

That horse looks overweight. The Lone Ranger should be ashamed.

No. These were stories of Silver when he was leader of a herd of wild horses, before he met the Lone Ranger. Obviously he's been fattening up in anticipation of the winter which is just starting, when some fat stores can mean survival in the wild.

For serious? I used to read animal adventure books like that all the time as a kid.

Oh yes, HI YO SILVER ran for more than thirty issues, beginning in 1952. Judging from the covers, Silver faced hazards of nature (like blizzards and rockslides), duels with rival stallions, fights with cougars and bison. He had a recurring nemesis, an Indian brave who wanted to capture him.

Dell titles like these usually had solid art and storytelling, although they weren't shocking or extreme enough to draw much interest today.

The Kama Sutra refers to this as "high union".

Heh, I forgot about all that. The hare man and the elephant union make a low union.
