Planetary News
Yes. I know it's April 1st. However this was posted to Twitter 16 hours ago. Even throwing in the time difference, it was still March 31st when posted:
From Warren Ellis' Twitter: Just heard from DC That John Cassaday has finished PLANETARY #27. Ravens have left Tower of London.

No.

God.

PLEASE LET THIS BE A LIE.

I DON'T WANT DC TO FUCK UP A STORY THAT'S PERFECTLY FINE AS IS!

That comic was written by Warren Ellis himself, not a new writer for the franchise.

You don't understand!

Finishing the comic gives DC free reign to fuck up the characters and stories by including them in their shitty crossovers! ;__________;

That was a PERFECT ENDING. Let them go around the bleed and keep them away from the all new same shit Wildstorm ;_;

I gotta agree with you there, as much as I would LOVE to see more Planetary.

I'm not as worried as I could be, just because Ellis managed to keep Planetary out of the worst of the Wildstorm crap the first time around.

There was only one crossover with Wildstorm and they didn't even actually meet. (with the Authority, in CROSSING WORLDS)

And in any event, take it up with Warren Ellis. It was always intended to be finished. Cassaday got drawn away on other work. So what you think was the ending never was.

I don't think this is a reboot or a way to keep it going. I think it ends with this, doesn't it? And finally I can get the damn 4th TP.

PS--And if DC somehow does continue it, well, do what I did when DiFillippo took over TOP TEN, or the Authority didn't have Millar anymore. Stop buying it and pretend it ended there.

Now that FINAL CRISIS is over, I'm doing that with the entire DCU. (yep, I'm done, except maybe Johns' Superman stories)

I have acquired independent corroboration. The book is in the hands of the colorista.

I liked her sinister laughter in the announcement.

you'd think the local darkseid would be more pissed than to just break a chunk off the gloating device.
