Could be argued that someone working through and coming to terms with being paralysed makes for more interesting stories than them getting an easy fix and carrying on like normal.

*twitch* Could be argued that someone working through the grief of their parents death would makes for more interesting stories that them becoming the world's greatest detective and fighting crime.

Yes, exactly, thank you, just like Iron Man. He built a cybernetic heart to overcome his disability, and you also get the stories about his adapting to life after the fact. Exactly.

Yeah, I like the Batman Begins. What I loved about that movie is that showed some of the grief and self-destructive and selfish behavior Bruce indulged in before being Batman. I mean, who wouldn't snap after witnessing the non-justice of the death of your parents?
