Okay, what's the story with Jason coming back, then? I was under the impression that it was a time-punch- how is that not the case?

The reality punch basically made his body an animated shell. The lazarus pit bath is what really brought him back.

The definition of "bringing back" can't include both because...

Punch brought him back to life. Pit brought him back to a recognizable mental state. Notice how "brought back" can cover a variety of topics and is not only applicable to one specific grammatical object?

The punch made his corpse crawl out of his coffin. Note the period at the end of that sentence and the use of the word corpse.

The lazarus pit brought him back.

I'm not sure why the concept of "bringing back" being applied to or encompassing different things confounds and confuses you.

It doesn't, but the concept of incorrectly applying it to something seems to escape you.

I think a corpse that crawls out of a coffin qualifies as being at least "living dead," which is a somewhat livelier state than just plain dead.

The Lazarus Pit can also explain why Jason's become a nutjob (with Talia as well since Nysaa dumped her in it many times). Even though I like that Morrison ties up his stories together so that's he still references stuff he did long ago, the art is a bit off-putting. I don't care if he is a redhead or a brunette, Tan's Jason Todd looks nothing like any other version of him, so I can't really get into it.

Re: the hair.
Exatly. It's what's been bothering me. It shouldn't and it doesn't really matter that much that he might be a redhead now (other than screwing with continuity and making no sense) but it would be much easier to swallow if he at least looked similar to the way other artists drew him. Though I still prefere him as a black /brown haired kid since that at least doesn't distance him even more from his brothers and makes the artist actually work at making the ex robins look more unique in other ways.
