	How come? I thought Jason was just making the point that they have a body, so the Lazarus Pit would revive him (which Dick wouldn't use). I wonder if he'll examine the body here and realize there's something wonky with it. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	But Jason's not saying Dick won't admit Bruce is alive. And the whole conflict between Tim and Dick is that Dick thinks Bruce is dead and Tim thinks he's alive. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Why would Dick have alienated Tim, who was clearly broken up about it, if he really shared that point of view? Nothing about Dick's thoughts or actions suggest he thinks Bruce is alive, everything he has done suggests he thinks he is dead. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	If the cost of obeying those instructions was driving Tim out of the Batfamily and down a weird and dangerous path the way it has done, I think Dick would less than politely tell Bruce's recording where he could stick his orders. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

And wouldn't he really have to think about it? When he was following Bruce's instructions (until he saw it was hurting people) about not being Batman he thought about it when it got difficult. Here he'd be keeping it a secret that he's actually gaslighting Tim, telling him he must be unstable! Which would replace a lot of painful but believable family drama with a bait and switch on Tim that makes Dick and Bruce jerks.

Well, if Dick really knew that Bruce is not dead and Dick didn't tell Tim about it under Bruce's orders even if Tim is really REALLY torn up by the whole Bruce-is-dead thing and even went on a worldwide trip just to prove Bruce is not dead and a small indication that Dick knows Bruce is alive could've prevented all than Tim-angst-against-the-world-cuz-he's-the-only-one-who-believes-Bruce-is-dead, then I think Dick is a dick.
