One page and a massive spoiler from the issue.

He saves Oa and some Lanterns when an Alpha Lantern's power battery goes critical. Now we know why Guy is given a new red ring next issue. Honestly, I was on the fence of posting this. I just found out this myself so scan isn't mine. I just found it from another site (4 Chan's /co/).

The rage of this issue hasn't hit me yet. Part of me doesn't want to go to the comic shop now for fear of the rage that'll take hold of me after reading this issue.

Geoff Johns has promised several times at various cons that Kyle WILL SURVIVE Blackest Night so to me this is just more proof that a bunch of people will get resurrected at the end.

I'm going to go with theory that all of the Black Lanterns who are not destroyed/dusted will get their souls back and be revived. Hence why Holly/Hawk was dusted by her sister Dove and Hank/Hawk is still around (I think Don's cameo speech to Dawn in Blackest Night Titans #3 was the clearest hint of all that Hank Hall will return as Hawk).

	Coooool. Zombie Kyle. (No wonder Guy goes Rage-y, I shouldn't wonder if Soranik Natu heads down the same path) Of course, it won't stick. Kyle's had his heart ripped out before & lived to tell the tale. I'm thinking this time it'll be a triumphant White-Lanternized return to life in the last issue. (Reply to this)

A few thoughts about Kyle's character, and this event:

About three years ago, I had a big grudge against his character. It never had to do with Hal, or with Kyle not being likable. I found him endearing, funny, nerdy, accessible, and I actually like what an important role women played in his life.

However, as Jenny-Lynn and Donna Troy were both favorites of mine, and I enjoyed Alex for the three issues she was in, I found myself wondering: Why were all of these women getting killed around him? Why were they getting depowered around him? Why was it all about Kyle and his helplessness in saving them? Even in the GL books, when Donna's family died, it became about Kyle's inadequacy issues in not helping her and his resentment of her walking out on him.

And so I ended up kind of loathing him for a while. After revisiting GL v2 and v3, I rekindled my love for his character, and began to really appreciate the pairings he had been in, and truly appreciate the arc he went through. He settled down into less of a "Chosen one" role, and more into your ordinary hero, and I liked it.

Tomasi kind of sucks, imo, at juggling characters and plot lines, so Kyle never got the development I would have liked in GLC, nor did Kyle/Soranik (it is why I couldn't feel ANYTHING when he told her he loved her, but could feel it when he told Guy he loved him in this issue).

This made me sad, even if it almost seems like narrative karma. Will he come back? I do think so. But he was NOT killed by a black lantern, so we do not know if the massive resurrection people are theorizing about is going to help him out or anything.

Kyle will come back. Whether it's at the end of this event or down the road, even if blackest night is supposed to seal the door of death more.

I'll miss him, and I think more could have been done with him, quite honestly. He was a funny character and has brought me a lot of my most grinniest moments while reading comic books.

It's my belief that he won't come back because he wasn't killed by a Black Lantern.

I mean, what about the people that die normal deaths in Blackest Night? What about the guy at home who slips in the tub taking a shower or Cousin Steve who has a massive heart attack at the dinner table... just because these deaths happened during Blackest Night, would they be getting a resurrection at the end of it? Probably not.
