When Babs met Lois Lane
From Gail's run on BoP comes one of my favorite Lois showings in a non-Superman book.

Context: Babs is in trouble with a government agent she used to know who is seeking to control her. While she's talking to Katarina--the government agent--someone interrupts them. (Note that the first two scans are from BoP 101, whereas the rest are from BoP 102, thus staying within the scan number limits.)

Not because of the Joker's mercurial personality, but because it's Babs saying it.

That stuck out to me too. I'm not sure that she wouldn't say it completely, but it did definietly stick out to me.

Again, she'd be one of the people best placed to judge, so I don't see a problem with it.

I'm not saying it's wrong. I'm saying it surprised me as a read this, like in a gave me pause way.

Perhaps it's very dark humor. I don't know.

It would be odd, said out loud. As internal dialogue it makes sense, because she's comparing a very difficult situation she currently sees herself as being to one that she's already faced once and overcome.

While I am sure the Joker is scary as hell to her, he's not *unknown* in the sense that having a sit-down w/ Lois while discussing her secret identity is.

I appreciate what you're saying and agree that it's two difficult situations.

It does still seem weird to me to compare the guy who shot, crippled, stripped and photographed her--guy who also showed the pictures to and tried his best to humiliate her father--with Lois Lane.
