Our story starts with Emplate visiting the old stomping grounds and finding just construction workers finishing demolition work on the X-Mansion. Like any good slasher after they bash mutants he arrives and slaughters them wholesale. It isn't long before he show's up at the latest place the X-Men call home.

The first two he meets are Madison Jeffries and Danger.





Cyclops with Emma, Colosus, Nightcrawler, Pixie, Warpath, Angel, and Wolverine arrive on the scene. It's fighting time!!




Emplate has the advantage until Cyke begins laying a blast on his hand and Wolvie decides to do something. Before the fight goes any further, Emplate decides to get out of dodge since there are no tasty souls for him to warrant this battle. He reflects and recoups the incident back at at his home with an all too familar face:




He does exactly that having said lighthouse appear in Utopia and enrance a diamond like mutant into it. #228 picks up with:









Obviously this move doesn't go un-noticed by the X-Men who use Trance to locate the rip Emplate used to get into the real world. Deciding that they need to go in now they have Rogue absorb Trance's powers and she goes in trying to rescue the young mutant. She enters the pad and finds DOA waiting for her. Being a tiny bit arrogant on being invicible in her current ghostly form, Rogue tells DOA to give up the mutant or else. Which reminds him of an order Emplate had once told him. If ghosts ever showed up he should shatter the glass. The glass happens to be two eggs. The eggs hatch and grow to be monsters that love to eat a certain kind of thing, energy. The kind Rogue is giving off right now in her current form.
